DO NOT RECOMMEND. drove 3 1/2 hours to see a Oncologist(never seen one). was in the ER for 4 hours for them to say “give Motrin and Tylenol every six hours” & send us home WITHOUT blood work results. Was told that within 48 they will give us a call with results to know if we need to DRIVE ALL THE WAY BACK.

I have been using Children’s of Alabama since January 18, 2020 (41 total times). It is 3 hours away from where I live. Of the 41 trips, I was in the hospital 3 times (9 days total). The 8th floor of the hospital is spectacular. The nurses and doctors are spectacular. I was been treated as if I was family. I have been to clinics 26 times. The nurses in the clinics are always smiling, and they are always happy to help.This place has excellent care and excellent facilities. I would recommend this place to everyone!I appreciate everything that has been done for me! Thank you for all that you do for EVERYONE!! :)

I absolutely love the doctors, nurses, and other supportive staff members but the MRI scheduling is HORRIBLE! Especially if you come from a clinic visit in the hospital then wait 4 hours for an MRI! 4 hours! That is ridiculous. Something needs to be done because we came to the hospital clinic at 8:30am was done getting blood at 1:45pm, then went for an MRI at 2:00pm and sat in the lobby until 6:15pm. She finally went back and was done at 7:45pm!

I don’t know the names of the medical team that treated my family’s daughter - her name is Oaklynn F., was there for croup and was discharged today. Her mother told me everyone was absolutely wonderful there and treated Oaklynn like a queen. She couldn’t stop bragging about the great care she received. I’m a nurse myself so I know how meaningful it is to feel appreciated, especially in times like these. If anyone could relay this to the right people for recognition that would be awesome. Do not recommend the ER department AT ALL. If you don’t have 4+ hours to spare then do not go there. We waiting in the waiting room for 4+ hours with my 6month old for a broken arm. (Said there wasn’t enough rooms) And didn’t get seen until 11:30 at night.. finally got back to the room and on our way to our room the were tons of open rooms.
