A miracle worker. He saved my life. My carotid arteries were both blocked, doctor's in my area gave me no hope. Dr Cavender was able to open artery up with stents.

My wife has been a patient of Dr. Cavender's for 15 years, as I have been for the last 8. To see him, we now make a 16 hour drive from Texas.The reason is that Dr. Cavender is simply the best physician of any kind that we have ever had. As for the professionalism of the general Cardio Vascular staff, the cardio lab and especially Dr. Cavender's nurse Amy, we rate the experience as 4 star as well.

No concerns regarding Dr. Cavender; however I do have concerns about follow-up when you call in. I called in yesterday with shortness of breath and requesting a prescription be called in to my pharmacy - giving name of pharmacy and phone number. No one called back to discuss the shortness of breath issue nor did anyone call in my prescription. I called in again today to address the prescription and told it was approved and would be called in. Still no word on the shortness of breath.

My son worked as a cardiac ICU nurse at Brookwood hospital for years and when I became unhappy with my cardiologist, I asked for his recommendation and without hesitation he said Dr. Cavender. I have been his patient ever since. He is a kind doctor that actually listens to all of my issues and offers his opinion in a way that is both easy to understand and informative. I am thankful that Dr. Cavender is my cardiologist and would recommend him to others.

He showed a sincere interest in my health and was so kind in his examination of me. He checked me out very thoroughly and tried to find out what my problems were. Very understanding and patient and he gave me a complete explanation of everything he was doing. I have never had a doctor who seemed to care about my condition more than Dr. Cavender.
