I went to see Dr. Shallcross for acid reflux. It had been many years since my last endoscopy, so he scheduled me to have a scope. After the scope, Dr. Shallcross gave me a diagnosis of gastroparesis, explaining that my stomach no longer had the ability to adequately eliminate my food. A quick Internet search proved that gastroparesis was a serious diagnosis that required a gastric emptying study and/or tilt test to adequately diagnose. I was not content that Dr. Shallcross gave me a firm diagnosis without these additional tests. When I went for a second opinion, I was given a tilt test, proving that I had hiatal hernia that slowed my digestive process.
Dr Shallcross was very informative and knowledgeable. He did not beat around the bush with me,and thats what I like. Dr shallcross has Very good bedside manners which you dont see often. He is definitely someone that I continue to see. Thanks Dr Shallcross!!!
I am very impressed with Dr. Shallcross. He even called me at home on a Sunday evening to give me the results from my colonoscopy. He is rechecking me in 3 months to be sure he got everything.
I have never had another doctor which I would recommend more than Dr. Shellcross. He has treated our entire family, and we would not trust our Gastroenterology needs to anyone else. Wonderful bedside manner, will spend all the time you need to make sure all your questions are answered, and very easy to get in touch with for emergencies. You may have to wait a little bit in the office because emergencies do come up, I have been one of those, but it will be worth it.
First rate all the way. Found things other MDs had missed Dr. Shallcross saved me a lot of unnecessary suffering and potential surgeries etc. I would recommend him to anyone I truly cared about.
I waited over three hours in the waiting room for this doctor. The first time this happened, he said that he had an emergency. The second time it happened he blamed a new computer system. I waited an hour and a half the third time and even then he spent less than five minutes with me. He has shown total disregard for his patients.
I had a bad experience with my first colonoscopy; the doctor was two hours late and as I was already stressed that I would have colon cancer, (it runs in my family) my anxiety level was maxed out by the time he decided to appear. Dr Shallcross had been recommended to me and I reluctantly made an appointment to get my second colonoscopy with him. What a breeze! I went shopping later in the day and felt wonderful. He was on time and was very warm and genuine. The next thing I knew, I was dressed and having a cup of coffee! And, my colon was normal. It dont get much better than that. (Unless they can figure out a way not to have to drink the gaggy slurry.) I would highly recommend Dr Shallcross and his staff. They make the unpleasant bearable!
nice attentive good listener and got me well!
he was very nice and diagnosed my problem quickly
