List of Kenneth Elmer's Reviews
Dr Elmer is the best Pediatrician doctor that I have ever known. I have know and use doctor Elmer for over 26 years.
Dr.Elmer is amazing, he takes time with the kids and makes the Doctor’s Visit special and not something that they dread to go to. He will sing with them and make them laugh and smile and even teach them about there body. (for example he will ask where is your heart at? And if the child does not know he will then tell them where it is and also let them hear there own heart beat.) And before he leaves the room my children always ask for a hug for him my children are always excited to see him even if there are sick because my children knows Dr.Elmer will help them feel better. He also makes sure the parents understand what the treatment options are and also makes sure to answer all the questions and concerns that the parents might have. I know when I (the parent) leave the appointment I know my kids has had the best health care treatment from the Best Doctor in Alabama.
Dr. Elmer is the BEST pediatrician you will find-anywhere! He is extremely caring, loving and playful with the kids, and is SO extremely knowledgeable. He takes time with you and your child like y’all are his only patients. He was my pediatrician when I was growing up. Wouldn’t want my kids taken care of by anyone else.
Dr Elmer has treated my children and my grandchildren. He is a very compassionate, caring, knowledgible doctor. He truly cares about his patients and goes the extra mile in treating his patients.w
Dr. Elmer is an excellent pediatrician to all three of my children and was also my pediatrician. Both he and his staff are always there for your medical needs. Loving and kind environment. He has vast experience and continues to educate by keeping up with the latest research, findings, and medical advancements.
My 2 year old sat in the waiting room till it was empty whimpering and holding me. She is very sick and I called and made appointment at 8 when they opened. She told me be there by 9:45. The interstate was shut down but I made it and signed in by 9:52 cause I looked at my phone to sign in. The waiting room was cleared out and we had seen atleast 4 patients come after us and leave while we were still waiting. I understand we have to wait so I politely asked when is my baby going to be seen. She is really sick. My daughter starts to get agitated and tries to get in the door where they bring patients back. She is 2 but she has been there enough she knew we see a doctor and there is a place to lay my down which is what she wanted - to lay down. She keeps trying to get in the back while 2 more patients sign in and get called back. This could have been another doctors patient and I knew that but I was on time and no one left in waiting room so surely my sweet sick little girl atleast deserved a room to wait in. I tell the lady at the front “ look she is really sick. She isn’t leaving from standing by this door and the next time it opens we need to go and sit in a room and let her lay down. The nurse Kim - Dr Elmer’s nurse who has been rude on numerous occasions and left a lasting impression on my husband with her too big for her britches attitude walked over to the door and said or I will say yelled “What’s the problem ? Is all I have down for her is a rash! “ as if it was the waiting rooms business and that was not right. The reason I called at 8 am was to tell them please give me a time to come in because my daughter has a rash, fever, coughing, ear pain, congestion. She was treated 2 weeks ago and still bad sick. So after Kim yelled to basically get anyone’s attention on that floor Dr Elmer walked over and I asked what does it even matter at this point if it’s a rash when we have been here over a hour and a half and she’s just needing to go lay down. She’s sick. She wouldn’t play in play room. Nothing just cry and was uncomfortable. She tried to walk in while I was explaining my call and concerns with the fever and how I did state that when I called and as she tried to walk back he got in front of her and turned her back out the door!! It was the ugliest thing anyone has ever done to my baby being sick and with it being her doctor I got disgusted quickly. I demanded the medical transfer form. And told them I would never bring my children there and did cuss because of the frustration letting them know I know they skipped her and didn’t even write the correct info about her sickness. So we left and went to a local urgent care where they saw pus coming out of my baby’s left ear and the right ear was too compacted. The rash was from the meds dr Elmer’s office prescribed that didn’t kill the ear infection but made it worse along with the rash. When I got to the urgent care I was crying being sick myself and just in disbelief of how they would be to s baby who obviously wanted to just lay down. I even said we will wait but she really wants back there cause she knows she needs to see a doc and lay down. I mean she knows from past visits she can atleast lay down or color and rest. It was a simple fix but Dr Elmer barely looks from side to side and says “ well I just don’t think I have a room for her” - it was disgusting and even more disappointing how he let that nurse Kim yell and treat us like that. I hope no one else has an experience like this but the truth is I’m pretty sure they have. The moms waiting when I left looked at me with sympathy almost. I thought it wasn’t me they were mean to - it was my / year old baby girl! And that’s a pediatrician! I’ll never take my child there again ! Ever ! Please don’t do it ! I had more than 3 times I wanted to go somewhere else but thought I should be understanding because they are busy and all those other excuses - but the truth is Kim is lazy and Dr Elmer didn’t do his job as a doctor or a man with compassion for a sick child. Is all he had to do was get her a room to wait in. Worst!!
I've been going to Doctor Elmer since I was a baby. He is really great.
Takes plenty of time with patient. My son was a patient for 18 years and he was an awesome doctor.
One of the best people I know.
Dr. Elmer is the best pediatrician in the world.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
