List of Kenneth M. Sigman's Reviews
I was referred to Dr. Sigman then to Dr. Christine then back to Dr. Sigman. My complaint is that is is impossible to contact them. I have gotten improvements each time but still not completely knowing what is wrong. My experience with the doctors was ok I personally like more explanation. My experience was during the holidays which is hard too! Dr. Christine’s office said we need another scope next week need as soon as possible it is next week but no one calls & you can’t reach them & when you do your message isn’t returned they only do procedures on certain days. They space things out and say you can go back to work so I am using all my vacation time I had accrued through my 40 years at my job. It is bad for the patient to wait and wonder. Everyone there was nice.
I was very pleased with Dr. Kenneth Sigman. I had not met him previous to having an endoscope done to drain a cyst on my pancreas. He spoke to me prior to the EUS and asked me about any symptoms or if I had questions. He explained what would be done. He was very personable and attentive. Once I was in recovery, he called my husband and spoke to him about what was done. Then, a few days later, he personally called to give me the results of the biopsy, which was benign. I would happily use Dr. Sigman again and would recommend him highly. His nurses were also caring and just wanted me to be comfortable.
He is a great doctor. He is direct and very professional. I am happy to go to a specialist that knows what he is doing. My doctor referred me to Dr. Sigman because he knew that Dr. Sigman was the best specialist to treat my medical problem.
My mother was referred to Dr. Sigman, who she was told was the best, to assist in finding a bleed she has internally for over 2 months now. At the first procedure, Dr. Sigman acted like he wasn’t even sure of her case when my mom was promised he would review her records (which included about 4 endoscopies, CT with contrast, FAST scan, colonoscopy, passed 2 camera, has had over 10 units of blood transfusions, and not to mention 6 COVID tests going in and out of the hospital) I think she would be someone to remember. He did not find anything in the first procedure and asked for her to come back again for a different procedure to check another portion of her GI, and did not find anything again. Instead of giving her some options and taking the time to research, which I thought Grandview was a research hospital, he just tosses her back to her original doctors that don’t know what is going on. I thought he was the “Specialist of Specialist”. Sounds like he has no empathy or time for special cases. If you are bleeding internally and need help - go to someone else. Sincerely, a very tired daughter for her sweet mom.
He is wonderful. He saved my life. I will never forget him or his kindness. Perfect bedside manor. He is a man and doctor that cares. I truly love him and pray for him daily
Dr. Sigman did a procedure on me and did not explain the risks or complications that could occur. He went as far to just tell me “We are just gonna go down look around and you will be back to work tomorrow.” I was told not to call him back or come back. I was given a stent and sphincterotomy. I woke up in severe pain and given no explanation by Dr. Sigman. I ended up in the hospital less than 36 hours for over a week and almost died. This was the worst experience I have ever encountered as an “elective” procedure. I would not recommend this physician and I am a nurse. I was treated as if I already knew the risks and complications and I had no clue what was about to happen to me.
Dr. Sigman performed an endoscopic ultrasound on my pancreas. I first met him at Grandview prior to this procedure. He was very kind, and explained the procedure and asked if I had questions. When I got to the operating room, he was very nice and I noticed he had a good sense of humor, thus helping me relax before the procedure. After the procedure, he met with my family and took plenty of time explaining his findings. IMy surgeon recommended him highly. I would highly reccomend him, also.
Kenneth M. Sigman, MD Michelle Webb Posting publicly. Learn more He is a great doctor. I used him for years until he changed to specializing in just gallbladder & pancreas. His bedside manner is quick & directly to the point. It's not sugar coated but he knows what hes doing. I would rather have a great doctor with not much bed side manner instead of a nice & sweet doctor that knows far less. My son almost died last year. He was in icu for over a week before he was stable enough to have his gallbladder taken out. I requested Dr. Sigman & he had amazing bedside manner with my son. He told my son & myself that there is nothing more painful than what he was going thru. His gallbladder had so many stones they fused together. A chip of blocked his liver duct & everything started shutting down. He was in renal failure, turned septic & also got pneumonia on his 2nd nite. My son was 24. He has recovered & is doing great. I still use Birmingham Gastroenterology.
I have read some bad reviews on Dr.Sigman's bedside manner but, I couldn't have asked for a better first impression or last. He is the man to see if you need a EUS or ERCP. He was very nice when I woke up and before I left. I can't say enough good about the man. I would highly recommend him any day of the week. 5 stars from me. Thank you very much if you're reading this Dr.Sigman. No Pancreatitis after a ERCP is the best gift you'll ever get from a doctor. ??????????
Because of my high insurance deductible I had to pay the full amount up front. Dr. Sigman seemed impatient to hear my reasons for consulting his services. The test was done seemingly fast (I was awake) and he told me he did not find anything but needed to consult another doctor to further guide me on what to do about my pain. He said he would contact me that after noon. After two whole weeks with no call the only thing I have gotten from Dr. Sigman is a bill. I would never recommend this doctor. His staff was very helpful making appointments, but this doctor is in too big of a hurry to listen or follow up. I have now paid out $1174.00 out for this procedure for nothing.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
