List of Malek Karassi's Reviews
He dropped me as a patient. I have no idea why unless it is because I called and left 3 messages and no one called me back. All I wanted was to come by and pick up a blood sugar machine that I was told to come by for and no one was there. I had no idea that he was only there on Mondays and Tuesdays! No one ever told me that.
The absolute worst practice I have ever been associated with. The office staff including the receptionist is rude and uncaring. I would advise/recommend to anyone that are serious about their health to run as fast as they can away from this doctor, staff and the especially the rude receptionist.
We never saw Doctor Karassi. My father was referred to him on July 11 and files were sent over for intake. When we called to make an appointment the following week, we were told that they had the files and would call us back to schedule an appointment once the doctor reviewed them. We waited for 3 weeks during which my father was hospitalized three times due to issues with medication. On August 4, I finally reached a receptionist after several attempts that led only to voicemail. Her curt response to my inquiry about the prolonged delay was simply "we have to follow our process." I voiced my concern that my father's condition might deteriorate while he waits weeks for an appointment, and her response was, "well, then he should go to the hospital." He did. Three times. After pleading with her for a more specific time frame for an appointment, she promised to call me back the next day (today) with an update. I think you know whether she called. We found another doctor.
I am revising my previous review for this one:Dr. Karassi has proven himself a caring doctor. He has decided against the MEDVIP for his practice, and will continue with his patients. This made me so happy!! The fact that there was communication sent to patients, explaining how he couldn’t morally cut ties with some of his patients let me know that his heart is in the right place. I will continue being one of his patients!!!!!!OLDREVIEW:Dr. Karassi was a caring doctor when I first started seeing him a year or so ago. Now he has decided that he is going to be a concierge doctor, and is dropping all the patients that don’t pay $1800 to sign up to be in MEDVIP membership, which is a fancy way of charging patients to do the things that come with the job of being a medical doctor: managing care, coordinating with your other doctors, and ordering prophylactic tests. It’s a practice that should be illegal, yet this is where medicine is headed.
Found him as a Mentor Understand the feeling Take care with time and patience
Excellent... we highly recommend him.
First off I don’t know which receptionist everyone is referring to but I have always been treated kindly by both. At my first visit I wasn’t sold on Dr Karassi but gave him a second chance. Saw him last week and he found a lump in my thyroid and set up an appointment to have it biopsied immediately. He explained the precedure and assured me he has done this for 27 years it will go fine. His ultrasound tech is the best. She is very sweet and was the one who found the nodule in my thyroid.
I was able to get in much quicker to see Dr. Karassi than the other endocrinologists in the area. they all had a few months wait time but I was able to see Dr. K within 2 weeks of calling.
I've been going to Dr. Karassi for years. Even though I usually have to wait for awhile, it's always worth it. Dr. Karassi is very caring and he goes more by how I feel than what my hypothyroidism tests say. He's the best!
Dr Malek Karassi is an excellent doctor. He told me he would get me off of insulin and he did. Dr Karassi has a gentle personality and a quietness about him. He is an intelligent man, and I like him. Signed Don Guthrie

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
