List of Mark Baker's Reviews
I have three children and I have never once experienced a doctor that was more unprofessional and rude. I have never complained about any medical staff members, so this review isn’t from someone who is difficult to please. We visited Children’s today after exhausting resources here in Huntsville area. Our family doctor actually referred us to the ER in hopes we would received more help. Dr Baker was kind at first but after running only a few basic labs (which I informed them would come back normal) we were sent home with no answers. My son has dealt with severe right side stomach pain for over two and a half weeks now and the pain has only gotten worse. Over the last few days he began developing chest pains and we grew more concerned. He cannot eat and cannot go to school. When we were told his labs were normal and they would not do any other tests to see what is going on, we were told we would be discharged. Given no answers, no advice, nothing, just a referral to a GI doctor we must wait 2 weeks for. They did not offer to conduct and scans or run test on his chest or heart to see what is happening. When I spoke with Dr Baker, and asked about my son not eating and what to do to help the pain so he can eat, he point blank said “Ah, he looks fine. Give him some pedasure. This isn’t an emergency and if you have a problem you can contact our complaint department. I’ll write the number down for you.” Then walks out of the room. He didn’t listen to my concerns. He didn’t care we spent 2.5 hours to drive to their hospital only to be turned away. My son is sick. He left the hospital in tears today because he was so hopeful the “big” hospital could bring us help. I can promise you when we find out what is going on, we will be contacting an attorney. I am disgusted that anyone who would care so little would be allowed to work with children.
I've never in my life been treated by a doctor the way he treated me and my family. I wish to remain anonymous so I will not go into detail. But I'm still in absolute shock Over how horrible he treated us. In an emergency situation, especially one involving your child, you need comfort and grace. He was so rude and mean that it doesn't even feel real. I cried... I mean.. he is a PEDIATRIC physician. I don't know how someone so miserable and hateful can be in a profession around children. This was my first experience at children's of Alabama and I pray that it will be my last. I try to see the best in everyone and maybe he was having a really terrible day, but there is no excuse for treating clients the way he treated us today. It was such a traumatic experience and he definitely made it worse 😞. Adding him to my prayer list
this man has no respect for children or parents. he was not only rude, but missed diagnosed my child. never use this dr.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
