Russell Reeves's Online Review Report Card

I had a 12:00 appointment, arrived at 11:40 per instructions & went through registration. Was not called back for weight, bp, ekg & pulse/oxygen until around 12:35. That was completed at 12:45. Was told 4 were still ahead of me. Asked how long as I had to get back to work. The nurse wouldn't guess, so I told them I couldn't wait & left. At 3:25 got a phone call asking me if I was still in the building as the doctor was now available to see me. Not the first time I got treated to a way late appointment, but definitely the last. Waiting on a callback from the administrator of CVA.

Dr. Reeves has seen my dad for years. Ever since Dr. Reeves has moved into the CVA practice, his care of my father has gone downhill. We haven't even seen him in a year and a half, it's a nurse practitioner. I wait for an hour just to speak to a receptionist. I leave a message with the nurse with no return call back. I am on my 4th call to them and can't get a nurse on the phone to discuss his medication that's making him very ill. This practice is TOO big to properly care for its patients!!!!

Dr. Reeves is a very good Doctor that took care of me and has did a great job with my follow up care

I have been under the care of Dr. Reeves for some 20 years for cardiovascular decease, irregular heartbeat and hypertension. My husband was also his patient for about 25 years. He suffered with atrial fib and was on his third pacemaker when he passed away at the age of 87. I have found him to be very thorough and have great respect for his knowledge and ability in his chosen profession. It is my belief that he is probably the best cardiologist available in the southeast U.S. Audra Peoples

Dr Reeves is always kind, professional and compassionate and I am so confident about his care of me as a patient that I travel to Birmingham every six months from West Virginia for my appointments with him. Respectfully, Shirley Perrine

Dr Reeves was the surgeon who changed the battery in my moms pace defibrillator unit. We only met him the morning of the surgery. He was very focused when he came in before surgery, not a lot of conversation. Although my mom had a lot of scaring and bleed significantly Dr Reeves was very attentive until she recovered a several weeks later

Always takes the time to explain everything in language easy to understand. Shows a genuine interest. Never seems rushed even at end of day appointment. I and several members of my family have trusted Dr. Reeves for cardiac care for years . He is always up to date on the latest medical and drug studies and explains how they may apply to condition or prescription.

Dr. Reeves is very thoughtful and friendly. I appreciate the consideration and thought he gives to my concerns.

Staff was prompt and courteous. Wait times were short. Face to face time with Dr. Reeves and assistants allowed for all my questions to be answered to my satisfaction. I have had two facility visits that achieved a five star rating in the past three years and this is one of them.
