Great doctor! Very compassionate!
Dr Halama and his staff take the time to listen and help. I always feel comfortable asking questions and find they are willing to answer or help find the answer.
His nurse and his assistant Conineta or whatever her name is never calls you back, and when you mention it to him he says and I quote"well she takes care of me" whatever that means. Find another dr since this one forgot that he took an oath to do no harm. His assistant also argues with you and tells you opposite info about your medical condition than Dr Halama says and when you tell the office manager this they are all fine with it. Your left with no other option except to find another dr which I did.
I was a patient of Dr. Halama’s for over two years. At first, I was under the care of his nurse practitioner, Brook. I did not like her. I did not feel like she listened to me. She kept writing things off and throwing drugs at me. I would suggest this and that in hopes of getting a diagnosis so I knew how to relieve the pain, but she would declined everything. When I had a endoscopy and colonoscopy done, Dr. Halama promised me he would get to the bottom of my problems no matter what before I was put under. After many prescription drugs and test, nothing helped. He said I had IBS. I did everything he told me to do, but nothing improved my symptoms. He stopped listening to me… it almost seemed like he stopped caring because he would be rude to me when I mentioned I was still in pain. He turned me over to a nutritionist that was just as rude. The nutritionist misdiagnosed me, which he strongly believed. I quit seeing them both because I got tired of the misdiagnosis hanging over my head. Turned out, when I was in the ER close to death, I did have a major GI problem. Even after that diagnosis, Dr. Halama doesn’t believe it. After he admitted me to the hospital, he ended up getting the Gastro Health medical team at that hospital to help him write me off. He just said I needed a psychologist and go somewhere else. It was crazy he did that. Don’t go to Dr. Halama if you need help. He will waste your time and money.

Absolutely the best doctor ever!!! Kind, caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable.
I like Dr. Halama and have seen him for years. The staff and nurses are great too. I rarely have had to wait much longer than my appointment time. They are also good about working you in when needed.
Only Dr I saw that wanted to try and fix my liver without telling me I had to have a new one or I would die. My numbers have inproved and keep doing so.
I’ve been going to his practice for 10 or 12 years and I am thoroughly pleased with the way that he’s treated me. I recommend Dr. Halama without question.
Professional and highly recommend

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
