Suddenly at home, I felt a pop & intense pain & couldn’t walk. I was carried into Emergency clinic via ambulance in intense pain. Met Dr Gillford briefly. He lifted my leg. IV was started & I was given Valium?? Treated me like I was drug seeking, yet I never asked for a thing . I have my own. Found NOTHING & sent me home in pain, in ambulance. 5 days later I had surgery for a broken PELVIS. I could have thrown a clot & died not to mention I want to die to escape the emend pain. I thought I must be crazy.. nothing was found. My wife treated me different. I was vindicated by a UAB Nurse Practitioner. Yet a radiologist missed it, a ER Dr Willie Gillford missed it.

In all my visits to an ER this is the 1st time a doctor knew what was going on with me and got a correct diagnosis. Thanks Dr Gilford

He was very caring. Asked a lot of questions and showed a lot of concern. I seen him for a horrible migraine after my blood sugar hit 24. ( I have diabetes) I was there a total of 30 mins..and only waited 10 minutes before being seen. I was treated with the best care from this doctor than i have ever before. I would highly recommend anyone to go visit him at highland emergency room in birmingham located close to the kirkland clinic :)
