Kumar Vadivel's Online Review Report Card

Dr vadivel is so kind and knowledgeable. He helped me out 13 years later with an implant situation I’m facing even though I no longer live in Dallas and no longer his patient. He took the time to explain to me what needs to be done and helped me a lot.

Dr. A is amazing, she's very knowledgeable and patient has great bedside manner. I'm a nervous patient generally and she put me at ease and made me feel comfortable with all the work I needed done. She takes a personal interest in the well-being of her patients and takes all the time necessary to fix any issue.

I am quite shocked by all the positive reviews for this Dr., my experience with him and his office having been so poor. I sought Vadivel's help for periodontal issues. I am a mature female, and Dr. Vadivel allowed me to believe that I was getting a specific periodontal surgery that I was seeking; yet upon awakening from the anesthesia, I had had an entirely DIFFERENT procedure done. I also had 2 extractions, and the suture work at the extraction sites was very sloppy (ex: the inside of my cheek was sewn to my gum). I had an impression taken of the extraction sight before the "surgery" started, so that I could have a temporary partial denture constructed; the impression was never sent to lab, and I never received the partial. If you are going in for any procedure that is NOT routine, it may be likely that the Dr. will not be the one performing the work, but possibly interns (as I believe was the case in my situation.) The anesthesia was never fully explained to me; I had never been fully "knocked" out during dental work or surgery before, but I was this time. I DID NOT ask for it. Following the "surgery", as I was coming to from the anesthesia, I was left entirely alone in a dark room. I was left without compresses in my extraction sites. The experience could not have been more dissatisfying, and Dr. Vadivel was nowhere to be seen following the administration of the anesthesia. Very poor.

I am very surprised by the 4.5 stars. Dr. Vadivel...there are better periodontists BY FAR. Dr. Vadivel exceeds in administering general anesthesia and removing wisdom teeth. Don't bother if you are going in for anything else. He's more a businessman then a Dr. He REALLY cares about reviews, and will ask for one BEFORE he even performs a procedure. I was duped into agreeing to one particular procedure and a different one was performed after I was in the chair and going under general anesthesia. I did NOT agree to general anesthesia; the method of anesthesia was NEVER explained to me. I did an impression for a partial (flipper); they never sent the impression to the lab. Very bad experience. I would not recommend Vadivel to anyone.

Dr. V really cares about his patients. Takes the time to do a comprehensive evaluation and sits down to explains what was found.

First visit to Dr. Vadivel office(Mockingbird Lane). From walking in the door, very pleasant atmosphere. Staff exceptionally nice and professional. Maudy made me feel so welcome. She is fantastic. Dr. Vadivel, absolutely astonishing. When you leave, you can trust you are getting the best care, service and experience.

We were lucky to find Dr Vadivel As he performed my dad’s implant surgery in 2006. I usually do not write any reviews but Dr.Kumar and staff always takes care of our family. Go visit his office. His knowledge is priceless.

I came here to have all 4 wisdom teeth removed and the entire process was such a breeze thanks to the amazing staff.

Dr. Vadivel and his Assistant Jasmine are amazing they are very professional and helpful they fully explained everything and help me with reasonable payment arrangements im so happy I came here

Only 3 wisdom teeth were taken out instead of 4. He wasn’t good enough to get all 4 out even though the chance of error is less than 1%. If we argue, then that’s $300 extra out of my pocket for the fourth which he was reluctant to do. Take note, you are charged per tooth regardless of insurance. The staff said he was generous enough to offer sedation free of charge. Word on the street is, my insurance covers sedation. Great... now I’ll have to shop for a different oral surgeon to get the last one pulled out since my bottom teeth will shift towards the extraction site. My procedure would’ve cost no more than $400 if I had gone with an in network, but no I put trust in my family. Hey, supposedly you get a free Starbucks gift card if you rate him 5 stars. I don’t buy these good reviews.
