Had cataract surgery. Four months later had a detached retina. Even with all the symptoms, I went for three office visits before he found it. By that time, it was basically too late. My vision is forever changed in that eye.

Dr. Pitts left pieces of the old lens in my eye for two months, causing so much damage to the cornea that I had to have a transplant. He should be retired from ANY surgery. I would never recommend him.

Dr. Pitts is WONDERFUL! Fabulous personality and a wonderful and very knowledgeable eye doctor! I will miss seeing him once a year! Thinking about driving to Clanton, just to see him! He is that good! A longtime patient that will miss you very much! Diane Ross Unger!

I have been a patient of Dr. Pitts since 1979 and have the utmost confidence in his skills and abilities as an opthamologist. He is warm, friendly and communicates on a level that the patient can understand. Additionally, his staff has always been courteous and professional on each and every visit.

Dr Pitts, is a excellent eye doctor, I would recommend him very highly, and he's good and sweet, he is a sweetie pie!!!! Excellent doctor.

I've worn glasses for 55 years and been to see many opthamologists in the cities where I've lived. While all of them were excellent doctors, none has helped me as much as Dr. Pitts. He is a top-drawer surgeon who practices with full disclosure of the pros and cons of different options. I still see him as my doctor even though I no longer live in Birmingham.
