Dr. Thompson removed a melanoma from inside my ear and got it all the first time. Very down to earth and gets right to the problem confidently.

Took care of my cancer in my ear the first time. Very down to earth and explained the surgery at my first visit.

My experience was not positive. Staff was helpful. Will definitely get a second opinion. Was too dramatic about my previous medical history.

Thought I had sinus problem for years. Dr. Thompson's exam showed a deviated septum and scar tissue from cancer surgery. Had surgery to correct both and breathing much better now. The doctor and staff were friendly and very helpful.

NOT A DOCTOR FOR A CHILD. BE CAREFUL. Staff awful. Don't ignore those reviews, hate I did. Very uncompassionate doctor. Maybe ok for an adult, absolutely do not take your child. My child is big (not overweight) and tall for their age, so I think it's easy to forget. They've had a very bad experience with an in office procedure done with another doc that Dr. Thompson was going to perform, so they were naturally terrified. Dr. Thompson without compassion blurts, "what's wrong with him, does he have anxiety or something?" He firmly would raise his voice, not scream, stop, instead of putting the patient at ease. I had to tell Dr. Thompson three times to stop for a second to talk to my child. He clearly ignored my first request and kept going. He was moving too fast in a hurry without ease.There were two assistance in the room taking notes, one of which was a male assistant thought it was funny. I caught him laughing, gave him a look and he stopped. He wasn't laughing out loud to be heard, but you get the point. Dr. Thompson then stated to add the patient was uncooperative in the notes. Completely unnecessary. Mind you this was when he first started. It was too much coming at a child. The doctor even made a point to tell him he was a big boy.To add fuel to the fire, the young male assistant talked about it outside the door and another individual took a peek in the room to see who he was talking about. He claimed she looked in because she was looking for a prescription pad. She looked in at the patient, left out and i specifically saw the young man, another girl standing by and him giving her a look. I assume considering how obvious she was.All this after waiting an hour in the waiting room as well. Don't ignore parents. He's went to another ENT that referred him because he couldn't find the problem, however that ENT is very calm, compassionate and understanding. Hate he couldn't do it. You'll see bad reviews about staff under Dr. Bouknight. Don't ignore.

I had a very bad experience with this doctor and the office where he works. I would not recommend him.

Dr. Tab Thompson is the only doctor who has been able to help me understand and treat my chronic sinus problems that have plagued me since a child. The balloon plasty he performed went flawlessly. He's now the only doctor I trust to treat any ENT issues I have. I will drive 3 hours from NC and take a day off work just to see him. Thank you Dr. Thompson! You have literally made a huge difference in my life. I cannot thank you enough.

First met Dr. Thompson in '96. He is knowledgable, reassuring, He was not my primary surgeon, but when on call, he saved my life by admitting me 1 month post op for what ended up as extensive blood clots in both lungs.
