this is a wonderful and caring facility. I hated it when I got there, but healing involves pain. they talk about more than eating disorders. you build a family. your rights aren't taken away. please get the help they provide.

I am so disappointed. The residential staff is touch and go. There are very loving and great ones, but there are also some that fail, majorly. You get 2 therapy sessions a week (maybe) and those are lackluster. I got more out of talking with peers than anything. I am strongly telling anyone that this is not somewhere beneficial. I would recommend a therapist that isn't overwhelmed and that has the time to give what you need.

Had issues after release with obtaining patient records however , after dealing directly with upper level personnel the issues were properly resolved in a timely manner.. Be sure to work very closely and very detailed with the intake personnel upfront and agree as to what each party provides and expects during a stay and upon release.

Magnolia Creek was such an eye opening experience for me. I’ve spent years in therapy trying to find solid coping skills and trying to uncover past trauma, and I’ve never been successful until after MC. They really showed me what full recovery could look like, and I’m closer than I’ve ever been before. The team is amazing, the staff is wonderful, and I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to go here when I did. If you’re serious about recovery, Magnolia Creek is the way to go. To everyone at MC...I love you guys so much, thank you for all you did for me! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Magnolia Creek is a joke. They do not properly train their people. The person that supposed to train you cuts coupons the whole training session and listens to gospel music. You only learn what not to do by every mistake you make. The counselors are not there to help the individuals.. The morning counselors are high the majority of the time, the evening counselors stay in the office most of the shift leaving one counselor to observe... Too many Indians and not enough chiefs.. Management turnover rate is extremely high. No warnings before the decide to let you go. Very unorganized.. No teamwork just backstabbers and don’t every try to come up with an idea to make things better, you are really out the door then...

Having recovered from an eating disorder and getting to know the heart of magnolia creek, it is apparent that a place like this could have shortened the many years recovery took me. Recovery is possible anywhere for anyone. However, the time it takes and level of struggle can be lessened after treatment at MC. On a bigger spectrum clients will learn how to prevent relapses and on a smaller spectrum they will learn how to go out to eat and get through it while still in treatment. Both of these vital points for recovery are extremely difficult to do without treatment. The motivation for recovery at the end of the program is high and the tools learned will be with you forever to pull out when you make the choice to recover fully. The activities participated in at this facility give yourself an opportunity to grieve the loss of your eating disorder and begin looking forward to having a future again. These two factors make full recovery not only possible but probable. This is a beautiful home like setting with staff that not only care, but understand, believe, and will not stop fighting with you. Seek help, learn to live in the moment, and be excited for life again. This is an awful disease to go through alone and Magnolia Creek can help. You are sick enough and you do deserve to live.

Magnolia Creek started off as a great place. It was small and us girls were getting the care/treatment necessary to help with our disorders. The therapist and staff were great. Then one day a man name Bill came to the facility fired half the staff and told us in our room that we do all of our treatment that he was taking over. Magnolia Creek is a women's facility filled with women that have had past issues/abuse with men. This guy Bill took the power in our group process room and began walking thru our house without announcing himself first on a regular basis. These women not only had eating disorders , they have been abused by men. Magnolia Creek soon became about numbers. Multiple Beds filled up daily. It got so bad that people were not getting time with their own therapist or dietitian. There also was medication mix ups. The dinner table at the house was over crowded and often food was served cold. There was no room in the common area. Girls were getting pushed out before they were ready. Thanks to a very dedicated therapist, Laura, I got what I needed and I got out of there. I feel bad for the other girls that were coming in. I do not recommend the place. The staff has changed over. They are about numbers, not the patients. Please take the time to research other places. Magnolia Creek should be a last resort.
