Edward Mahan's Online Review Report Card

I've been going to Dentistry in Queen 3 years and enjoyed the friendly, fast, and convenient service. Unfortunately I had a root canal there, and extra unfortunately it ust have been complicated or something because apparently it wasn't well done. Two further dentists immediately knew something was wrong upon viewing x-rays and one noted that Dr Mahan has done poor root canals in the past. Disappointing that I now need a full tooth replacement. 😔

My husband was a patient of Dr Mahan for 3 years, on March 16th 2022, had office visit because my husband had EVERY symptom of a heart attack, he sent him home told him to come back in 2weeks for stress test, we got home,(we live 30 minutes away) had to rush him back to Cullman ER he was having full heart attack, ER Dr said miracle I brought him back or it would have cost him his life;was taken to Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham had 85% blockage, had surgery ‼️We will NEVER set foot in his office again‼️Won’t allow me to give 0 star My husband was a patient of Dr Mahan for 3 years, on March 16th 2022, had office visit because my husband had EVERY symptom of a heart attack, he sent him home told him to come back in 2weeks for stress test, we got home,(we live 30 minutes … More

My husband had all signs of heart attack, Dr Mahan sent him home after office visit,(we live 1hour away round trip); we came back to ER after getting home, husband WAS having heart attack,given clot buster, ER Dr said miracle we came back or he would have lost his life; was rushed by ambulance to hospital 1hour away where surgery was performed for 85% blockage! We will never set foot in this man’s office again!

QUACK QUACK...used some sort of "new" translucent filling for a root canal procedure, $1500. and 3 yrs. here I go to a real dentist to fix the mess....another $2000. touch. You were warned!!!

Dr. Mahan takes the time to listen and thoroughly explain answers to any questions we have had for him. His nurse, Amanda, is efficient, gentle, thoughtful and very helpful. I have great confidence that they truly have my mothers' best interest in mind.

Don't let Dr. Mahan work on your teeth. I got a filling from him, and he did not care one bit about my comfort. He started to drill my cavity seconds after injecting me with freezing. Any dentist worth their salt knows that it takes a couple minutes for the freezing to kick in. Needless to say, I felt everything, and it was the worst pain I ever experienced while seeing a dentist. The filling that he haphazardly placed in me has caused me troubles since my appointment. For a week after my appointment, I could taste the filling material in my mouth. It was as if it was seeping out of the filling. He absolutely butchered the filling placement as well; I can no longer floss my teeth in that area, for the filling was mistakenly placed in the space between my teeth. Now, the area is tender, and I'm worried that the cavity was not completely removed. This incident has caused me a great deal of distress, and I'm afraid I'm going to have to get this tooth pulled now. Please, don't go through what I went through, avoid Dr. Mahan.

I took my 4 yr old to dr. Edward Mahan he got his staff to restrain my son . There was no numbing nothing. He should of sent us to a dentist that could of put my son under. I didn't let them continue after only 5 mins of after seeing what he was doing was wrong. The most terrifying ,mean, rude doctor I ever met. He had no gental words , no speaking to my child to comfort him what so ever. The whole time he had this disgusted mean look on his face. Glaring at my little son with disguss. He was to fill one of his teeth that had a cavity. The staff said nothing. They just followed his lead. I also went to him for a crown/ root canal to be done. He put it in, screwed it up placed it to high. I began to have headache and jaw pain. He said there was nothing wrong. I ended up going to another dental clinic. There I had been told nothing could be done. Other than it be shaved down. Exposing the metal inside all the white porcelain was gone making my tooth look like it was black and rotten. After spending all that money and time. I would never recommend this dentist to any aboriginal person in Lakeview Square ever. We never went back.

Dr. Mahan is great! I'm not someone who enjoys going to the dentist at all. He's friendly, fast, does amazing work, and is extremely professional.
