List of Thomas Richard Md's Reviews
He has been understanding and explain's thing and makes sure I understand them
He was very inconsiderate, there’s a way to tell people they’re not healthy, but he chose very poor words saying “how do you expect to take care of a baby when you can’t even take take of yourself” also “you shouldn’t be this heavy/overweight” very unprofessional!!
Do not use this Dr! I'm honestly not sure how he's even a doctor. When I was pregnant with my daughter after dna testing and ultrasounds he kept telling me I was having a boy and even announced it's a boy when my daughter was delivered. All he wants to say when you go see him for anything is that you need to lose weight. I have a metabolic disorder where I can't lose weight without diabetic medicine. My regular Dr and Richards both knew this yet he told me that my metabolic disorder wasn't the problem and after I told him that he told me maybe I should skip a few meals a day. Worst doctor I've ever had! Do not trust him with your healthcare!
First time mom at 18 and Dr Richard delivered my baby by c section due to complications. THE BEST doctor, took care of me so well. As a Hispanic nowadays, I didn’t see no shady things or anything against me. My c section was good and healed good. he checked on me a lot in the hospital after birth and even when I was pregnant and always got down to the point of what was going on because i was at high risk for a lot of things! . Love the staff and Dr Richard! He’s definitely delivering all my babies if I choose to have more!
This Dr and staff is horrible. If you are looking for a Dr please keep looking. He had one pt besides me and I still waited for almost 2 hours while him and his nurse talked about the storms. Then trying to find out your lab results is a joke. Gave one star because they won’t let me give a zero!!
Dr. Richard was the only doctor I seen that knew something just wasn't right. I had been to ER three times for a miscarriage with intense pain and they all said it looked like a complete miscarriage and that I might have a small cyst on my left ovary is why I must have had the pain. As soon as Dr. Richard seen my ultrasound he scheduled a surgery two days later. I had an ectopic pregnancy that had ruptured my tube and I also had a 8 cm cyst on my left ovary and a 6 cm on my right. I had to lose my tube because it had ruptured. It's a miracle in my opinion that I'm still alive because I had been bleeding for 1 month, 3 weeks, and 6 days. The day of surgery I quit bleeding. He removed my left cyst and drained the right. I would highly recommend him he actually listens and is concerned about his patients.
My daughter was using the obgyns at CRM. She is 4 months pregnant and started bleeding went to er then called for an apt with doc. The could not reach her doc nurse and never called her back.
The staff is completely incompetent unable to return a simple phone call. They are also not friendly to Hispanic clients, amid pandemic they require Spanish speakers to bring an interpreter WITH them (even Walmart takes higher safety precautions). I do not recommend using a doctor who would have such an unprofessional staff.
I have been seeing Dr. Richard for several months. He got to the root of my problem. His bedside manner is wonderful. He genuinely cares about his patients mental and physical well-being. His nurse is equally wonderful.
The staff here is completely incompetent. We called trying to interpret for a dear friend, because they do not provide an interpreter, nor do they allow use of an interpretation service. During the ongoing Covid pandemic they wanted us to come in and interpret in person. All though in the past they allowed us to interpret over the phone. They could have let the patient know this but instead they allowed her to come to the office only to let her know they were not going to see her because she didn’t bring an interpreter in person. Then they would not allow her to make another appointment until next Monday and refused to call in a prescription during the wait. We have felt hurt and believe this office to be the worst in Cullman. Don’t go here. It seems if we had read the reviews before we also would have done we’ll never to have come to Dr Richard

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
