He was the surgeon that removed the blood clots from my leg at UAB in Birmingham. ( It was very scary). I felt I was in good hands and it eased my fears. When leaving the hospital I was so happy to hear he was was moving to my hometown Decatur. Al. He has a great personality and will talk with you and answers your questions without rushing you. He’s a great Dr. and I’ve highly recommended to everyone.

Dr. McFarland did my carotid artery surgery last week, and everything went flawlessly. He kept me and my family informed before, during and after my procedure. He is kind and compassionate with a wonderful bedside manner. He is admired by the staff at DMH, and I was so thankful to have him as my surgeon. I will definitely give him the highest recommendation possible to anyone who needs a vascular surgeon.

Excellent bedside manner. Intelligent and kind. He took care of our mother when her abdominal arteries hardened preventing blood flow to her digestive system, a month she was home thriving. He changed to private practice, we were determined to locate him!!
