Doesn't listen to you. Does least amount to get by with and bill for. He doesn't want to deal with any problems. He will also refer out to other physicians as much as he can. If you need a cardiologist please find someone else.
I was not very impressed with Dr.Craven first few times I've been to see him.Once a year.I go in he asked me how I'm doing ,listen's to my heart a few minutes @ then he's out of the room till next year. But he is a heart doctor @ I'm not the only one that's got one.If I were looking for one ,it wouldn't be him. Thanks Donald Worrell
Highly unprofessional. That goes for this entire staff plus the director. Absolutely no regard for anyone's health. Please avoid if you want your loved ones to be HELPED.
I was totally impressed with Dr. Benjamin Craven! He was very much down to earth talking with me and explained in simple terms everything I wanted to know about my medical concerns. I told him that I was an avid tennis player and that I thought tennis was a great sport to keep the heart healthy. The tests that he later ran on me helped prove that I was probably right. He seemed very conservative and never was over zealous about surgery. Whatever he recommends, I have total trust in him!
I got a registered letter today from Craven. He said our relationship had deteriorated to the point he couldn't treat me any more after 6 years. I did a stress test a year ago which was the last time I spoke with him. Fast forward: I had a minor knee surgery scheduled for this past Monday at 530 am. Craven intervened and said he wouldn't approve the surgery unless I made an office visit first. I went to his office Monday only to find I had to come back in for a stress test. I did the stress test Wednesday . Friday I got a call from my knee surgeon saying my surgery was cancelled because they hadn't heard from Craven. I immediately called Cravens office to find out what was going on as personal arrangements had been made for Monday's surgery. The nurse said Craven had read my test on Thursday. She said he was not in that day. I asked why they didn't contact my surgeon. She told me she could see a difference in this test and the last, but wasn't sure what Craven was thinking. She got another cardiologist to look at my test and he said he saw no reason to cancel my surgery. I told the nurse I resented the fact no one had contacted my surgeon to approve my surgery. Well on Monday that my surgery was supposed to take place, I got a call from his nurse at 430 pm that I had been approved for surgery. I got this letter today with him saying he would no longer see me and I still haven't heard the result from my stress test. And again I never saw him personally during all of this. He is too big and busy to care about your personal sacrifices NOTE: I did receive my results in the mail today "no unexpected abnormalities ".
If you want a Heart doctor without a heart you have hit the Jackpot! He is rude and lied to my doctor in a letter he sent to his office but did not cc me. Stated he talked in detail to me and my husband the doctor never got up when my husband walked in never introduced himself, much less talked to him. Said you need to lose weight and I do not dispute this, but when I asked him what he suggested he said I do not know i'm a Heart doctor go see your regular doctor. But in a letter to my doctor he said he went into detail regarding this and suggested aerobics which he did not even speak of. All I am saying if you need a heart doctor find one with a bed side manner and acts like he has a heart and does not give you the impression he does not like OLD Fat women..... Because that is exactly how I felt when I left there. You should always be kind no matter what you never know how that person is feeling... This is for Dr. Benjamin Craven..
Dr. Craven has been my cardiologist since early 2000. I was having palpitations. In 2015, we finally able to catch me in Afib. He has taken GREAT care of me. He put me on the proper medications. I would refer him to anyone. He is a GREAT cardiologist.
Dr. Craven became my doctor from a visit in the Flowers Hospital ER. All the staff there were great as I was in distress from CHF and it was brought under control under his leadership. He is not my regular cardiologist but I was glad he was on call in the ER.
I would not recommend this Dr. to ANYONE ! He didn't spend 5 minutes with me at follow up visit, After having a HA. 6 weeks prior.. Wouldn't even give me my refills on meds, told me to see the internist and he could prescribe them. I am uninsured, but pay cash for visits, But he is rated a 3 star rating because he has no time to spend with patients, He is simply in this for $$$ I am not surprised at his rating! He shouldn't have a 3 star in my opinion.
he is fine

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
