Friendly personnel.
Ocala Family Medical Center has a Dermatology and Aesthetics office that is all-around amazing. Dr. Wallace is a very skilled physician and surgeon with a staff that is second to none. I was diagnosed with aggressive skin cancer and because of a special procedure offered exclusively at OFMC Dermatology called Moh's Micrographic Surgery, I left the office KNOWING my cancer was completely removed. This office has an in-house laboratory which gives instant results, no more waiting days/weeks anxiously wondering if I have more cancer growing. I am returning to the office soon for Aesthetic treatments that will rejuvenate my skin. I highly recommend this practice, don't waste your time at another office that may likely refer you out and delay your treatment.
Dr Wallace was very knowledgeable and patient. Highly recommend!
What you want in a physician: thorough and learned in diagnosis, a craftsman in execution.
Dr. Wallace does everything right. He inspires this patient's appreciation and loyalty.
THE OFFICE COMPLEX IS NEW AND PROFESSIONAL; VERY COMFORTABLE. Dr. Wallace never looked me in the eyes after the initial exam and discussion period. He commented that I had a lower lid pimple and on each eye and proceeded to pop them-not more than a second per pimple. He did not tell me that that was considered "SURGERY" for which he charged $70.00 per pimple!!. My questions regarding the health of my eyes were responded to with the comment that they were in great shape. Later I questioned the "SURGERY" bill and after several lengthy discussions with my insurance company and Wallace's office the "SURGERY" cost was deleted. Last week while I was tested by another optometrist for new glasses I was informed that I have the beginning of cataracts and will be monitored. Also, I was given an outstanding eye exam; unlike any ever received in prior visits to any eye doctor. Needless to say I will not return to Dr. John Wallace. I want a doctor to make eye contact [especially an ophthalmologist], inform me if "SURGERY" is to be performed, and not have to squabble with a doctor's billing service about overcharging.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
