List of J. Scott Burrow's Reviews
Rude, unprofessional, aggressive, has no bedside manner. Has no compassion for patients. He lacks the skills to be an ER doctor. It does more than "book" knowledge to be a doctor. This he doesn't have. Maybe he should work in a lab where doesn't have to interact with people.
He is unprofessional, aggressive, arrogant, defensive, and has no compassion. People come to the ER when they are most vulnerable. He lacks empathy or sympathy to be an ER doctor. You can't have God complex. I was in a far accident and was told I had a mild concussion. When I asked for the day of the accident and the day off, he said you have no medical diagnosis to out of work. I don't think your boss would like that. Your not a sports athlete. He said if I was in an accident I would be at work the next day. I started crying. He said very condescending did I hurt your feelings, I apologize. What a #%#@'
Broke several HIPPA rules. Would not recommend anyone see this physician. He is incompetent, uncaring, and has fits of anger. The patient next to me commented “He better not come in here” meaning to see them. Scared me when he tossed chair into air, screaming loud enough to be heard by others in ER. when ask to see a different provider Dr Burrows refused to uphold HIPPA policy. Then refused to treat my conditions. Complaining to hosp did no good. they too thought a highly elevated blood pressure was ok. Hosp adm agreed with his softened version. Even when my vital sign records were omitted from the record.
Go elsewhere for care if you encounter Dr. Burrows and are in need of any empathy or compassion or even an accurate diagnosis
Wish I could give zero stars. Horrible, negligent treatment with zero compassion. Can’t imagine a field of medicine he would be fit to practice in- maybe some sadistic government role for physicians to torture enemies of the state.
refused to treat elevated blood pressure and severe pain from an ongoing medical condition. So loud the adjoining patients made comments about his behavior and erratic jumping movements. He scared me so bad, I thought he was going to jump on to my bed. Accused me of drug seeking and stayed out loud he would not treat my pain even though my blood pressure was 180’s / 120’s.I thought I was going to die. after 5-6 hours retching and abdominal pain ask for my discharge papers.
He is rude and arrogant. Did not do anything for my husband. Thought he was a drug seeker. My husband was finally admitted and diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I hope to never see him again.
Worst ever. No compassion and arrogant.
Was not satisfied with my visit at SAMC on 05/28/2022. ER physician was DR James Burrow. I have asthma and was unable to speak my bronchial passages were so inflamed. It was undeniable I had a serious situation, but he said there was nothing he could do for me. Said I should continue with my current asthma treatment plan. I left there and called a web provider. Spoke with a very nice physician who talked me about allergies and asthma. He called in two prescriptions to help with the bronchial issues. I would have gone to Flowers Hospital had I felt I could make it that far.
I saw him today 04/06/2021 at Southeast Health with severe stomach pains. He came into my room ask a few questions and mashed on my stomach and told me he would find out what was going on and would be back. After blood work and a CT scan with IVP dye after laying there for four and a half hours , not once did he ever come back and talk to me about what he found out and what I needed to do that would help me with my pain. Instead he sends my nurse in to tell me I can go home if I wanted to that he didn't see anything wrong with me and if I wanted to talk to him I would have to wait for a while longer. Seriously!! I refuse to ever see Dr. Burrow again. He is one of the worst I have ever seen. He has no compassion at all. Southeast Health needs to boot him to the curb.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
