My grandmother was nervous about having the cataract surgery. She has been wearing glasses her entire life and now she don't have to wear them. Dr Heersink was amazing and her vision is fantastic.

I was scared to death and dt heersink talked me through everything and helped save my life nd my quality of life and he changed it because I had to stop driving and now I can see wonderfully. I am restarting.my life now with great vision, its just incredible

My vision is now awesome!!! I'm really grateful to the team at Eye Center South and Dr. Sebastian Heersink for giving me incredible 20/15 vision just 24 hours after my Lasik surgery a few weeks ago. I am a 66 year old male who wore glasses or contacts for 61 years. In 2018 I was diagnosed with cataracts by Dr Dobbs, but I had to wait til the appropriate time to have them removed. I was very concerned about them being removed because I was worried that I wouldn't be able to pay what the insurance didn't cover. Dr Dobbs had advised me that there were surgical implants that would correct my vision, that could be implanted when the cataracts were removed. I was hesitant because of the cost of these lens were pretty high. In 2020 my eyes were so bad that the surgery had to be performed. Dr Dobbs referred me to Dr Sebastian Heersink at Eye Center South in Dothan, AL. In November of 2020 I went in for a consultation at Eye Center South. My last stop on my visit that day was at Dr Heersink's office. Dr Heersink advised me that he could remove the cataracts and put implants in my eyes that would almost completely correct my vision. He also told me that the approximate cost for this was around $2500 per eye. I told him that I could not afford that particular lens and would have to get the cheaper lens that would only partially correct my vision. Dr Heersink told me that they had a research program available that would pay for the cost of the lens if my eyes qualified. Needless to say my anxiety raised during the time the testing for the lens was going on. During the last few weeks of December 2020 Dr Sebastian performed two operations and implanted the $2500 lens into my eyes. For the first time in my life my vision was almost perfect without contact lens or glasses. I cried. I thank God, Eye Center South, Dr Sebastian, and modern technology for my vision. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Heersink and his staff.

Dr. Heersink is a awesome person. Everyone at the office treated me as if I was family. I had a good experience with everyone. He treated me like a friend not a patient. I will send people to see him. Thank you for everything Dr. Heersink
