Mamata V. Narendran's Online Review Report Card

My first time with this doctor, and she is part of the reason I stopped going to the obgyn. She made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome during my visit. Very evident she did not want me there as her patient and I thought a female doctor would make me feel less anxious but she made it worse. Do not recommend.

Had a very experience with Mamata Narendran. She almost got me killed. During my post partum visit, I had fluid retention and my blood pressure was extremely high. She said I am having anxiety attacks and should relax and enjoy time with baby. I had to literally beg her to send me to hospital for examination. I told her if she had 30 lbs of fluid in the body due to urinary retention and such a high blood pressure, will she be getting herself checked for renal function tests and other examination or enjoy time with baby. I had to stand for myself and that is how with God’s grace, my life is saved. I stayed in yhe ICU for 8 days . On top, she prescribed anti anxiety pills and I had to say ‘No’ everytime the nurse would bring those. In addition, she has no manners to talk to the patients. She is always irritated if one would ask too many educated questions. Such a dumb physician. I would not recommend her to anyone. Please don’t visit her and if you do, be persistent , stand for yourself and don’t follow her advice or recommendations blindly.

I switched to Dr. Narendran after my previous GYN died. She found my HPV-induced cervical dysplasia. She has been compassionate, takes time to talk to me and answer all my questions, and educates me each step of the way. I've been to see her about 5 times in the past couple months because of the abnormal pap, needing LEEP treatment, and needing to get a new IUD placed, and I really appreciate her. I'm shocked to see the bad reviews and wonder if many aren't racially motivated.

Dr. Narendra delivered my first daughter in 2018 and will be delivering my second daughter this May (2022). She is a very kind, friendly, and a total professional in every way. Our experience has been delightful.

Dr. Narendran is really good at addressing the concerns and always positive on her approach. We felt very comfortable. My wife delivered baby successfully under her guidance. She cared very well and highly recommend to others.

She's extremely knowledgeable, kind and patient. If you read reviews about her being "judgemental," I'm going to guess they're from overweight women who are upset because Dr. Narendran was honest with them and told them it's not healthy to be obese. She's a VERY good, thorough Dr. who delivered both of my sons. I would highly recommend her.

Recently had a serious medical condition that required surgery. She told me it was part of aging and sent me on my way but only after telling me I'd wasted her time. Got a 2nd opinion and had to have surgery.

Any "good" reviews about this woman has to be fake or they got very lucky. This woman is HORRIBLE!!! ESPECIALLY if you are pregnant!! She's the rudest and most judgmental dr I have ever seen in my life. Terrible person who should not be in the field shes in, period. If you are pregnant or have any genuine concern about your health PLEASE see someone else before considering this woman.

Dr Narendran delivered my son by csection in July 2013 and she did an awesome job. She had music on and everyone was laughing. She made it such a calm experience and I'm so thankful for that because going through any surgery can be stressful. I highly recommend her. Yes, she got onto me about gaining too much weight during pregnancy but honestly if your doctor doesn't bring that up I feel like you aren't actually cared about.

Ignorant and rude. First visit with her she pretty much insisted and forced me to get a flu shot while disregarding my concerns and questions.. I told her considering I was in my last trimester I'd heard lots of conflicting views on the safety of getting one. She flat out told me anything I've heard is wrong I need the flu shot and scolded me to the point I felt if I didn't I should be ashamed of myself and pretty much made the decision for me and had a nurse come in right away while I was naked to give me the flu shot with no warning at all. Then my next visit with her she completely just "forgot" to mention the fact that something serious was seen on my ultrasound and I didn't find out until a couple weeks after from a different Dr. who made excuses for her saying oh she probably just forgot when that isn't something you can just "forget" to tell someone!! That Dr had me scheduled for high risk Ultrasound ASAP which needed to be done when I had the appointment with Dr. Narendran but she "forgot". Then Narendran scolded me about my weight gain, I have always been very healthy and have been small my whole pregnancy and didn't start gaining any weight until the end of my 2nd trimester but she literally told me "you've been extra hungry huh, maybe start skipping the bread you might end up being 190 lbs by the time you deliver you don't want that do you? no" She was extremely rude and I am not a short person lol I've been small my whole pregnancy without a single stretch mark or anything and I'm currently 8 months pregnant going on 9. Other Dr's have told me I'm doing just fine and I was told in my 2nd trimester I wasn't gaining enough weight. I eat very healthy and don't even eat bread much so for her to assume I eat unhealthy and too much was extremely rude. I can't judge her as a whole but if you're pregnant, I DO NOT recommend her what-so-ever. See another Dr if you can because she is VERY ignorant when it comes to pregnancy that's for sure. I wouldn't trust a single thing she says.
