Dr. Wilder has such a refreshing friendly personality and it put me completely at ease. My eye exam was thorough and he carefully explained the reasons that I'd need cataract surgery. I'm very impressed with him and Southern Eye Group and would definitely recommend them.

First visit for contact lens exam, not bad. Waited maybe 45 minutes from waiting room to being seen by Dr. Wilder. No big deal. Got my new prescription and he said before finalizing it I could try for a week and if there was any problems I could come back and we would fix it. I did not like them and couldn't see very good, so I made another appointment to go back. I sat in the waiting room for an HOUR, and then another HOUR in the hallway "waiting for a room to open". Just to see an eye doctor, that wait time is ridiculous. I could not wait any longer. I made another appointment after leaving the Fairhope office that day to go to the Foley office, thought maybe they would move things a little faster. Nope. TWO HOURS and still not seen by Dr. I left again, unable to get a new prescription and will be making an appointment elsewhere.

He worked diligently to solve my difficult eye problem. Never seemed hurried, spent time enough to listen to me and kept working with me until he solved my problem. Highly intelligent and knowledgeble. Plus he has a marvelous sense of humor and makes his patients feel he really cares and explains in detail. A most unusual doctor and a caring individual.
