Dr. Trotter has been my wife and I doctor for a number of years and find him just as accommodating now as he was then. Old fashion work courtesy with modern equipment. He and Ms Anna are a great pair.
Whats wrong with this picture? Your almost 102 yr old Mother is in the hospital over the weekend and Dr Trotter sees her one on one whenever. He along with the hospital Drs decide she should be on Hospice. She vaguely remembers seeing him. She does not hear well. I feel like it would have been nice to have talked to Dr Trotter. After all it is my Mom we are talking about. So I called his office and offered to make an appointment or maybe he could call me. I got the switchboard and was transferred and shortly someone called me back and "asked" me what I wanted to know. I am sure the Dr will get his MONEY from Mom's insurance for his visits to see her and discuss what was to be done in her condition. Please understand that if I had seen his Mother and He wanted to speak to me about her condition, I would have had a few minutes of my time to spare and give him some comfort and consideration. I hesitated in writing this but the more I thought about this the more I became disgusted.
My family has died from heart disease at age 60 for several generations. Dr Trotter was recommended by another physician whom I trust. Dr Trotter was very thorough and informative. He Was able to fit me into his schedule for a complete exam of my entire circulatory system. After completing all the needed tests I was informed that my heart, along with my respiratory system was good. Dr Trotter told me I may die from many other causes but my heart would not be one of them for the near future. After knowing that my father, grandfather , and great grandfather all died at 60 years, none making 61, was a relief beyond words. I was conceived I would follow in the same footsteps as my ancestors. Thank you Dr Trotter and his staff for a job well done and the comfort of knowing how my health truly was. Fear comes from not knowing!! My fear went away and have been able now to worry less!! Montfort Jones
Don't like making appoint 3 months in advance, being sent and E/M the day before to confirm the appointment. Going to the office and being told the doctor was not there today; then being called 2 days later, being told a new appoint was moved 2 month down the road. Total total of 5 month of waiting. OI would have the time to die ??????
I REALLY LIKE DR. TROTTER. HE IS VERY CARING AND COMPASSIONATE. HIS NURSE ON THE OTHER IS NOT VERY NICE SHE TREATED ME LIKE I WAS A IDIOT. EVERYONE'S BODY IS DIFFERENT. AFTER WORKING 28 YEARS IN MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL I AM VERY CAPABLE OF KNOWING WHAT MY OWN BODY IS TELLING ME. SHE NEEDS TO BE MORE RESPECTFUL OF PEOPLES FEELING .

My PCP suspected I might have some heart related problems; severe edema in feet, ankles & legs as well as a heart murmur. She was going to refer me to another cardiologist. I said I know who to see and his name is DR. TROTTER in Fairhope. After seeing him, I knew it was the right one for me. He is kind, knowledgeable, caring, great personality & bedside manner. He definitely knows what to do for you, and makes you feel at ease.
I was put at ease immediately by Dr. Trotter's engaging personality and courteous professional manner. I feel confident that he will find a remedy for my problem and highly recommend him.

my mother spent several log grueling hours trying to find out what was wrong with her. She was jaundiced, dehydrated, incoherent, sweating profusely, bruising from head to toe from her low plat count and high liver enzymes, severely low b.p., hardly able to breath, fever and unable stand let along sit up or walk. Dr. Trotter walks in and says your heart is great, don't see why you can make an 8 hour car ride back to our home town, when I told him of our plans to life flight her out of there since she was unable to walk or even stand, he said and I quote " that's a bit of an overkill" AND " she doesn't need to walk or stand to ride in a car" I asked about the liver values and her jaundice and he said (and again I quote) "that's not my department, maybe you need to find a GI doctor" 2 hours later she was back in our hometown with a diagnosis of 2 bile duct stones and a SEVERE blood infection. People BEWARE!!!!! do your home work!!!!!
He saved my husbands life!!! We had went to another hospital ER less than 24 hours earlier and was sent home after being told it was only heartburn....wrong!! Then he was taken to Thomas by EMT and To Dr.Trotter, who saved his life..he was having a major heart attack because of 95% blockage, which had been going on for awhile.I am not pleased with the care that he DID NOT receive at the other hospital or with the other Dr. We love Dr. Trotter not only for what he did, but the way he has always been...a caring wonderful person.
