List of David W. Clay's Reviews
Takes his time, doesn’t overbook, listens and is very personable
Other reviews that mention his chatting about unrelated things to others while patients are waiting for over 45 minutes in the exam room is true. Reviews that mention the inability of the nurse to return calls are true. My favorite screw up with this bunch was when his nurse called to tell us my H needed an MRI, TWO WEEKS AFTER HE HAD THE MRI. The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. This doctor has done nothing but get fatter over the years--he should take his own advice.
Did. Not. Give. A flip about my dad. It was very obvious.
My elderly dad saw Clay for years. His caretaker accompanied him to his appointments and would relate horror stories about things that happened (or didn't happen.) Apparently, Clay doesn't think old people are worth caring for. During some visits, the nurse would see him, and that was it--the doctor never even showed. We called many times about a breathing apparatus that Clay was to order for dad, and it never came. Finally changed doctors, and it was done the next day. Dad has improved immediately because we found a doctor (other than Clay) that cares and listens.
I’ve been seeing Dr Clay for 4 years now. He is personable and does listen, I think, but you have to wait a week for test results and he doesn’t personally call. In addition, he is always late for appointments and frequently forgets to do the basics such as listen to chest etc.
i would strongly recommend dr. clay to any and all.he is one of the most positive drs. i've ever encountered.he makes you feel better both mentally and physically.too many drs. and sometimes nurses only tell you bad news and they bring you down.you dr. clay builds you up mentally.and your own mind and body can heal you. dan f.
I can never get a call back. Even leaving message doesn’t help. Not surprised, I wait ridiculous amounts of time when I go in for an appointment. They need some kind of white noise in the rooms. While I wait long periods of time to see him. He is clearly chatting about things that have nothing to do with work. After 20 years time for me to change doctors.
It is a good thing my family member isn't dying. Or, if they are we don't know it. We never get calls back from his nurse. Their new nurse line is a joke. Leave a message and you will still have to call back and talk to someone else before his nurse will call you back. He is a nice guy, but clearly he needs to do something else. Maybe politics where all you do is talk all day. He certainly doesn't care for patients.
Nice guy, bad doc
Dr. Clay is a great listener who is very skilled and kind. I highly recommend him!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
