List of Debashis Biswas's Reviews
My husband has been a patient for many years. Dr Biswas is always kind and considerate. He helped my husband after other doctors were unsuccessful. Several years ago, my husband was hospitalized and had been discharged, Dr Biswas called us at 11:00 PM. He stated that he had been thinking about my husband and wanted to see us in the office. He had arrived at a diagnosis and none of the several doctors who had treated my husband at the hospital had been able to determine the cause of his symptoms. He literally saved my husband's life. My husband has remained a devoted patient and has received first class medical care along with old fashioned care and compassion.
I saw Dr. Biswas on March 5, 2021, and he was simply amazing, understanding, proactive, caring, and professional. Dr. Biswas has an excellent bedside disposition, and he was VERY thorough. In addition, Dr. Biswas discussed my concerns, and I fully supoort his plan of care for me. I am thankful that my other physician, the phenomenal Dr. Samuel C. Polk, III, referred me to Dr. Biswas. I will be recommending this awesome neurologist to others without hesitation.
First visit and we were very impressed with him and his staff. Took time to explain my diagnosis thoroughly and his great sense of humor helped tone down my anxiety. Would highly recommend him.
My mother was a patient of Dr Biswas's for 5 + years. She had several serious illnesses, which made her health care complicated at the least. Two of which were Parkinson's and Dementia. Dr Biswas accepted her as a patient and gave his all to assist with making her last years the best they could be. He is a very good, smart, attentive doctor that is enthusiastic about his profession. He was respectful to my mother even when she was truly unable to communicate effectively to him. I have enormous respect and faith in Dr Biswas.
I’m completely shocked by some of these reviews. I saw Dr. Biswas for tension headaches I’ve had since childhood and migraines that began 5 years ago. Kindest doctor I have ever met. Hands down. He was a wonderful listener, cracked jokes with me, and was very thorough with his examination. He made me feel comfortable and listened to concerns I had. I would absolutely, 100% recommend him to anyone with neurological problems. I actually look forward to my follow up with him in 6 weeks. Never thought I would be excited about a doctors visit. He and his staff treated me like a friend. Greatful for his help and this whole experience.
I was most disappointed. I did everything that was asked of me and once I started questioning mid-reporting of diagnosis and disagreed calls I was receiving from the clinic, I was discharged. My appointment was cancelled without my knowledge. I am a partner of my healthcare and not a pawn that can be disposed of the moment I question the care I received. I will gladly move on since I am most disappointed in who I thought was a good provider.
Great doctor. Made sure all test needed were run and explained.
Very Judgementsl doctor . He was my physician for about a year. I was given numerous diagnosis and the meds he was prescribing me was not beneficial. One day during a visit he told me that he felt the reason I was in so much pain was because of my weight . He stated ,” you have a beautiful face , beautiful hair but your body not so Beautiful “. I ended up being so upset that I scheduled an appointment with another doctor located in Jackson TN and I found out I have Lyne Disease !
Most rude example of a doctor I have ever heard of. Will not speak or address women, even if a woman is his patient. Spoke only to the male in the room. Did not run tests, read a chart and MISDIAGNOSED the patient. Said she had a rare brain disease-Progressive Supranecular Palsy when in fact she had a cancerous brain tumor. When asked questions he was dismissive and said I don't have time to listen to you I have other patients to see. NEVER go see this doctor. After my Aunts death a month later, I wrote a letter asking him to rethink his actions in the future. To listen to his patients and not dismiss them. I received a phone call yesterday from someone in his office denying any of what I stated happened happened. No apologies, rudeness all around from Jean. When I asked her if she would like her family to be treated the way my Aunt had she replied "you don't know me or what I've been through". So I guess that answer was a yes. She wouldn't care if her loved one was misdiagnosed and dismissed.
If I could give this doctor a zero I would. Zero bedside manner. Telling us he didn’t have time to listen to my Aunt’s life history. He had read her chart and this was his diagnosis. Which was a rare brain disorder there was no cure for. He sent us away immediately saying he had other patients to see. Dr Biswas, IF you had taken the 5 min to LISTEN to the history of a patient you had NEVER laid eyes on, you MIGHT have discovered the BRAIN TUMOR she HAS and not MISdiagnosed her with a brain disease. In the future I hope and pray that you learn a lesson that patients are PEOPLE not just symptoms and a chart.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
