Cares about the patients
If you’re unable to travel outside of the area then he is one of your two options and worth a try. If you’re able to travel to another city then I recommend looking elsewhere, particularly if your case is more complex. Pros: (1) I was able to get an appointment in less than 2 months, which was faster than anywhere else. (2) I was seen within 30 minutes of arriving at the office. (3) He was kind, respectful, and took time with me. Cons: (1) I suspect he did not read my paperwork before seeing me. He came in opening the folder and asking questions that I had answered on the papers. He ignored requests I had included on the papers. (2) He did not appear open to engaging in a conversation regarding my care. He presented a single option and provided insufficient justification regarding his decision. He did attempt to answer my questions, but the answers weren’t helpful. (3) I suspect he may not keep up to date on PCOS, insulin resistance, and obesity research. If he does, then it does not inform his care. I found his approach to be out of date and generic.
He's a terribly rude man who frequently insults his patients. If you are concerned about any symptoms you have he will be quick to dismiss them, and rush you away, doing his best to put you down. Never go to this person for thyroid trouble. He doesn't know what he's doing, and he does not deserve anyone's respect. Nobody should have to deal with his kind of abuse. I feel sorry for his staff.
Disgusting human. I don't know why this man is a doctor. He has no interest in helping anyone. His favorite thing to do is to tell his story about the woman with a TSH of over 300 who feels fine, as an excuse to not treat hypothyroidism. He's very dismissive, he insults you for doing your own research, and insists that you 'just have to trust him.'
Dr. Ahmed has been quite helpful to my daughter and myself. The staff is always knowledgeable and kind.
Dr. Ahmed has been my doctor since 1989. He is a phenomenal doctor that is up to date on the latest advancements with medicine and diabetes treatment. Due to his diligence with medical advancements, I have had no complications in having 33 years of Type 1 diabetes. I would highly recommend him!
Dr. Ahmed is rude and will not stay in contact with you. I was supposed to have a call from him at 1:45 and he has not called. He argued with me about running out of insulin when the pharmacy and I both tried contacting him in the span of 5 days and leaving voicemails. He will talk over you and ended up putting in a rx for medicine I already had and not enough of what I needed. He lacks professionalism in communication and it’s very detrimental that we stay in contact due to me being very late into my pregnancy with gestational diabetes. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone especially if you’re pregnant.
Dr. Ahmed sent me to get a bone density test done in January 2018. I was hospitalized for three week in March of 2018 and the ECM Hospitalist told me that I had Osteoporosis, not Dr. Ahmed. When I did finally see Dr. Ahmed in April, he never went over the results of the bone density test and when I specifically asked him to, he said that he would when I came back to see him in 4 weeks! I went to my GP the very next day and got a referral to another doctor that actually wants to treat me now and not in 4 weeks. The test was done in January - over four months ago!
I can't speak for anything but Thyroid but, he has been a great Dr for me. The wait time is horrible at his office and he doesn't have much of a personality but, as far as care , he is very smart and I cannot say one bad word about him. Word about him
Dr.Ahmed really cares for his patients and their well being.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
