MIchael Wood's Online Review Report Card

Very poor experience . I desperately need spinal fusion that requires a vascular surgeon. My surgery with Dr Smith has been rescheduled now 3 times because Dr Woods keeps rescheduling. Now the 4 th date and his office still says they cannot confirm but may be able to assist. I’ve never seen such unprofessional behavior from any office.

Dr. Wood is a fantastic compassionate doctor, who speaks clear and concise putting a plan of action in for care, making sure he covers all bases, I was hesitant using any thoracic surgeon in Gadsden, until I met Dr. Wood.

Dear Doctor Wood, 10/5/2019 I wanted to take a moment to write and say thanks for saving my life in April of 2016. Your skill, talent and dedication to my health is best demonstrated by my excellent health 3.5 years later. Since my surgery, I have written two books, retired after 17 years with IBM, and took my bride of 41 years and our five grandchildren on some 13,000 miles of travel in our RV. In 2017 we traveled to Niagara Falls, Canada, Mt. Rushmore and back. In 2018 to the Grand Canyon and back. After two full years of retirement, I needed more interaction with people, and I returned to work (3 days per week) in the IT industry with the Virginia Department of Transportation. Dr. Wood, my more senior years have been good to me and it’s all because of you! Thank you. I trust that God will continue to bless you and your family as you serve the fine citizens of Alabama. Very happy with Dr. Wood. Explained things to me, very professional, friendly, and staff was wonderful too. The best!

Really confused, I received a referral for their services from doctor green, specifically Dr. Michael woods every time I call I get the voicemail she says leave a message and my call will be returned in 24 hours yeah ok, after 4 calls and two messages and at least one week later no call?!?!?! They must be the laziest service out there!? If there response service is like this, I think getting under the knife with them is never going to happen. I don't want a lazy surgeon!!! Actually pathetic!!! I'll attempt to seek services elsewhere!!! Now I must say even though I was referred by doctor green, she and her staff are by far superior in service compared to these degenerates!!!

Dr. Wood and his staff are compassionate, knowledgeable and caring. I would highly recommend him.

I was very impressed with Dr. Wood and he explained things very well. He seems to be an excellent physician and his staff is great. HOWEVER, yesterday I arrived at roughly 3:10 pm for a 3:15 pm appointment. I eventually left the office without being seen at exactly 5:00 pm. Waiting for almost 2 hours is ridiculous. I work in healthcare and realize things can come up but on my only other appointment with him I waited an excessively long time too. Not going back.

He is a great Doctor

Was the best, spent time with me and explained so I could understand.

While it was 20 years ago (1992) I had a serious heart attack and required emergency quad bi-pass. As it's been related to me by another physician, Dr Wood did everything possible to save my life. He is an outstanding person as well as a surgeon. BK
