I visited Northeast Orthopedic Clinic since my foot was hurting pretty badly. I had an 8:30 appointment, so I was disappointed to have to wait about 30 minutes before being called back. I had to wait another 15-20 minutes in the exam room after the x-ray. I suspected it was a spontaneous fracture, so I was surprised when Dr. Blackstock came into the exam room, told me that the x-ray showed nothing was broken, told me I needed to wear a boot, and then promptly left the room. That was all I got from him. No explanation as to what else it could be or how to take care of my foot so it will get better. I waited again, probably another 10 minutes, for the assistant to come in to put the boot on my foot. She put it on and asked me if it felt good, but gave me zero instructions about how long to wear it, if I needed to sleep in it, or if I should prop my foot up or anything else helpful. I am not pleased with the treatment I got at NEO and will not return.

Dr.Blackstock should be training other orthopedic Drs. He fixed my ankle that was never fixed to begin with. Another orthopedic didn't care.
Dr Blackstock has preformed two different surgeries on me. One was a tricep tendon rupture and the other a pectoral major tendon rupture. He done a amazing job on both of them. I’m still able to workout and work just as good as I did before surgeries. I highly recommend and would use him again
He has done two different surgeries on me and with both of them he done an excellent job. One was a tricep rupture and the other was a pectoral major tendon rupture, both pretty major surgeries and I’m back working and working out again with no problems whatsoever. I would definitely recommend and use him again
Dr Blackstock has done two surgeries on me. The first was tricep tendon rupture that he done a few years ago. I was able to work out again with no problems at all. He has recently done the other surgery which was a pectoral major tendon rupture. He has done an amazing job with both surgeries. I would definitely use and recommend him again. He is a great surgeon
Would not call Doctor and change order for MRI. Would not let anyone else look at my mother and it was obvious she was in great pain.
I would feel quite comfortable recommending Dr. Blackstock.
Do not use him. I had a minor wrist fracture. He put in a distal radius plate. He kept recommending physical therapy after this surgery because of continuous pain and immobility. Went to UAB to have the plate removed by an orthopedic arm specialist who told me the plate was improperly positioned against my tendons that he also had to repair. He said if the plate had not been removed, I would have lost use of my thumb and index finger.. Do not use Him!
Quick friendly office visits. dangerous hip surgery of a heart patient Dr took enough extra care that I was left with almost no post op bruising/ blood clotting repair feels promising so definitely recommended

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
