Wan-Fung Kwan's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Kwan is an excellent doctor, he is a bit of a rebel in that his goal is to keep you OFF dialysis, keep you healthy and he is the most dedicated doctor I have ever seen. He literally stays as late as it takes to see all of his patients in the office that day. That said, he seriously needs to upgrade his facility and his staff. He is older and may not want to spend the funds but things seem to be rather inefficient and a bit behind the times, appointments are way overscheduled and staff seems less than knowledgeable about the way to run an office. He needs to implement a computer system with software that could save everyone time, my chiropractor is a one man show who is the model of efficiency thanks to a small investment. I love Dr Kwan but dread my appointments because of the 3-4 hour wait times, the inability to pay by any kind of debit or credit card, old office that is kind of creepy and doesn't feel very sanitary.

Dr. Kwan is a great Doctor. I've had nothing but a good experience in the past two years I've beven with him. Office is dated and long wait time, but once your with him you understand why. He doesn't treat you like a number but like a patient. Great experience.

Dr. Kwan its without a doubt the best doctor I have ever had. He is not only an excellent doctor, but an excellent human being. He truly cares about his patients and cares only about what is in the best interest of their health, whether or not it's the "popular opinion". Every person should have a doctor with these qualities. Dr. Kwan is devoted to helping his patients at any time they are in need and that continuous help has saved myself and my family members on more than one occasion. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Dr. Kwan!

The best. He is my daughters kidney dr. He is straight up honest. He don't beat around the bush. He tells you like it is. He makes no diagnosis until all test are back. If you need a nephrologist this is the dr for you. We love you Dr Kwan. Your the best.

Dr. Gary Kwan is not only a great physician. He is an excellent human being, as well. He has been my doctor since 1997. At that time, I was in a critical condition at the hospital unable to be diagnosed for the complexity and variety of symptoms that I had. Among 8 different doctors, Dr Kwan was the one who deduced the root of my physical problems. I was diagnosed then with SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus) Nephritis and treated accordingly immediately. I thank God for Dr. Kwan opportune intervention and been able to survive from that crisis. During the process of treatment Dr. Kwan rendered his services with compassion and excellence. He treated me and my husband with a holistic approach, understanding that handling a new chronic illness affects in several ways our well being as a family. Dr. Kwan listened to us and also led us in the right direction with honesty when complications of the lupus required for me to be seen by a different doctor. Thanks to Dr. Kwan integrity and love for his profession and his patients he always keeps us updated on the new trends of medicine. In 2007 my lupus flare up and because of Dr. Kwan’s knowledge and partnership with a doctor in Birmingham area, I was able to face this situation in a better and smoother way, using a new medicine for my specific condition. I have been on remission since then. Dr Kwan has been a blessing to me. My family and I have only words of gratitude for Dr. Gary Kwan, a great physician and a man with a spirit of service and integrity. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Kwan only had this one review that was very bad. I don't know what went wrong with that patient. I do know, however, that he restored my kidney function and kept me out of dialysis. He was VERY concerned about my condition. When my kidney function started working again, he was practically floating on air, when he told me. He was both professional and very caring. In fact, he was wonderful! I would recommend Dr. Kwan to anyone needing a caring doctor in his field. Saw in hospital.

Office staff is negligent in filing claims and following through with insurance. They don't even get the date of office visits right that they submit to your insurance. Dr. Kwan is very nice nd in thorough with is treatment. The wait is entirely too long!
