List of Keith Whitmer's Reviews
Thorough exam, efficient office practices, and caring attitude of provider as well as support staff.
Complete jerk. See anyone in the office but this guy.
Dr. Whitmer barely acknowlegded me when he came into the room. He did a cursory exam and I pointed out the pathology on my arm. He scheduled me for surgery after doing a shave biopsy. The day of surgery, once again he barely acknowledged me. His surgical technique was terrible. I had a 2 cm lesion on my arm and he made an 8 cm elliptical incison that left a huge scar on my arm because of his closure technique which was substandard. He shouldn't be doing surgery. I have experience doing surgery and his technical skill is substandard at best. DO NOT USE THIS PHYSICIAN, HE IS INCOMPETANT AT SURGERY.
Took my mother in her 80's to him for itchy dry hands, after taking what seemed like less than 2 minutes he basically told her she was OLD and would have dry skin & use lotion (as if being a retired nurse she had not tried everything ). I got her out asap from his office. Thank the Lord her regular doctor referred her to WONDERFUL woman dermo doctor down street, first RX ointment stopped itching! Would not take any family member to Dr. Whither ever, seemed only interest in payment not dermo problem!
I went to Dr. Whitmer for several years after Dr. Aulisio got too busy to be responsive. Dr. Whitmer looked at two different "suspicious" places and said both were fine. Both within months were biopsied at Shands and turned out to be squamous cell carcinoma. I imagine they misdiagnose occasionally but two in one year on the same patient?
Staff is very friendly. Dr. Whitmer was very nice and considerate. He answered all my questions and concerns I had about my moles. Two moles were removed during the visit. He explained why and how they were going to be removed. I would recommend this office to everyone!
Excellent doctor. Well run office.
Cost nearly $500 for "removal" of two bumps, took about 20 seconds worth of effort on his part and guess what: I still have both bumps. This guy obviously does not give a flip about fixing people's skin problems but he charges up the yin yang. I'd avoid him to the fullest possible extent. Lowest possible rating. The scale does not go to minus infinity but that's what I'd give him.
The worst doctor I've ever encountered. Spent about 20 seconds to "remove" two lesions, I still have both of them. He doesn't care at all, has no talent, is obviously not in the least bit interested in dermatology. I'd give him a minus infinity if I could. The privilege of seeing him cost me nearly $500 and I still have the original problems. Much worse than not seeing him at all. He's not just a crook but also a monument to ineptitude.
I wouldn't want my family seeing this Doctor. He doesn't in my mind know medicine.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
