Robert Mames's Online Review Report Card

I have been a patient of Dr. Mames for several years. I recently had a wet AMD episode that severely impaired my vision. He saw me immediately and gave me an injection. He then based his treatment plan on what the scans and his examination showed. It was definitely his skill and diagnosis that led to my vision being almost totally restored in the affected eye. He maintains that it was luck but I feel it was his knowledge and experience the led to the success of treatment. Dr. Robert Mames aka “The Miracle Worker”.

I was referred to Dr. Mames at The Retina Center by my Optician who noticed blood in my eye. There was so much blood in my eye I couldn’t see my hands in front of me. The staff was so friendly, welcoming and professional and Dr. Mames was God sent, he was so personable and knowledgeable and guided me every step of the way. After being evaluated it appears that I tore my retina. I ended up needing the cryotherapy procedure to stop the bleeding but there was too much blood in my eye so I underwent surgery to remove all the blood and repair my retina. Four weeks after surgery my vision is back 100% so thank you Dr. Mames & Staff.

I have been a very satisfied patient of Dr. Mames for ten years. I originally saw him for a detached retina which he completely repaired with one surgery so that I have 20/20 vision in that eye. He is a thorough and dedicated professional who is as highly skilled as he is caring. I have recommended him to anyone who has a retina problem. In addition, his staff includes only the best trained and most compassionate techs. They employ the latest and most sophisticated scanning and other photographic equipment in the office to obtain the best possible information while you are in the office. The staff and doctor reflect the principles of dedicated and cutting-edge care.

Dr Mames has saved my eyesight not once but twice. As someone who has detached his retina twice (once in each eye). I can only thank God & Dr. Mames hard work for saving my eyesight and there fore my way of life. I was Thirty years old when it first happen due to being hit in the eye with a bungee cord. The second times was ten year ago, it detached all on its own. Both times Dr. Mames skill as a surgeon saved my life. I see almost 20/20 and am able to keep working and provide for my family. If not for Dr. Mames skill I am sure I would be blind. Thank you Dr. Mames.

I have worn glasses my entire life. About 20 year ago I torn the retina in my left eye after being hit with a bungee cord. Then 10 years ago by right eye developed a tear on its own. Dr. Mames has done surgery twice (once in each eye) and he has kept my eye sight almost 20/20. If not for the gift God has provide Dr. Mames and his hard work I would be blind. Because of the Covid19 pandemic I was apprehensive about my appointment with Dr. Mames. I was so pleased that the waiting room was limited to two patients. Dr.Mames and his professional staff make the patients safety their top priority, wearing masks, distancing, wiping down equipment. I felt very protected. Thank you Dr. Mames and staff.

I highly recommend Dr. Mames, I find him very caring, very thorough. During this Covid19 crises he and his professional staff has made the Patient’s safety their top priority.
