IF YOU CAN GET PAST THE RECEPTIONIST (who seems to have nothing but contempt and disdain for the clients) then this is the place to go if you want to get off heroin and/or painkillers. There is a HUGE misconception about methadone clinics. It's not a bunch a junkies who deal drugs in the parking lot...it's life changing, life saving and a real way to manage withdrawals. The nurse is great, the counselors are good. Although there's a high turnover rate on both, the ones that are there and have been consistent are excellent. The director is also great. But the receptionist...OMG...I can't even imagine how many people have not gotten help because of her open hostility toward clients. I've been going for years and luckily came at a time when everyone, even the first point of contact, the receptionist, was helpful.

Bad review we went in for intake me and my girlfriend internet was down they turned us away and doctor left after I had called two days in a row confirming appointment. We both left in tears would highly recommend dauphin island parkway

I've been going here for over 4 years now and eventually the staff and management has both changed. I still have nothing but great thing to say about my own experience. Love my councilor and everyone here. ❤ 💙!! I recommend to anyone who needs to come here to help change their life for the better...

Unfortunately, this is no longer Gulf Coast Treatment Center. When it was GCTC is was great, but as of the new year, 2020, ownership changed and 2.5 months later, there is barely any staff left. I seriously don't know how they will continue to operate much longer which sucks because if they close, the closest methadone clinic is 3x as far.The few employees that are left are great. But it has drastically changed since being bought from previous owner.

Wednesday, January 17th, 2018. The clinic was CLOSED! Apparently the protocol that is to be used when the clinic can't dispense, DIDN"T work today! I think its time the clinic reevaluate its procedures--to put it mildly?
