Whether personal or professional, I have high expectations out of those I seek professional services from, work, dine, shop, or fellowship with, by my own choice. Dr YB and Premier Family Care is not named carelessly. They are indeed Premier in medically serving this community with high ethics, standards, morals, and care. As a diabetic with other contributing health concerns, I regularly turn my health and life into the hands of Dr. Mizelle, Dr. Berry, Dr. Self, and Dr YB as may be required for care. Incidentally, it's never been a problem to get advance lab work testing, an impromptu injection from a nurse, or worked into a schedule as a "walk-in patient" on any given day. This team and supporting staff is exceptional. They are professional, courteous, solidly educated, up to date on political medical challenges, medications, alternative options, therapy, and referrals.
Called the nurse to get my rx called in for my seizures as I was on quorintee for covid exposure was told by the very rude nurse (i interrupted her coffee order as I was told to hold while she finished it) that if I needed it go to the hospital and hung up on me.
We arrived ten minutes early for our appointment with Dr. Youngblood on 9/1/21 (appointment was made three weeks ago). Checked in and was told someone would be with us shortly. Within five minutes we were checked in with the nurse... vitals were done and we were taken to an interior waiting room. After an hour I inquired if we had been forgotten? Finally an employee came in and said the Dr. was not there, I inquired why we were not told at the time of our arrival that he was not there and, was not going to be there? They stammered and stuttered, that they should have. No S...! As a consolation, they offered that we could see the nurse practitioner. We waited an hour and had we known the Dr. was not there, we would have left and rescheduled. This is total incompetency, and complete patient disregard!
Great
No matter how extreme the situation the billing department makes the medical decisions.
Absolutely awful practice. Do not use this office. Chronic diabetes patient and office visit after office visit they REFUSED to do bloodwork ahead of time. See the doctor who asks why you didn't get bloodwork done, promises to fix after you explain. Nothing to discuss as no labs to review, week later get a letter stating labs were off. Once had real bad backpain and after expensive xray appointment and a shrug went to different urgent care diagnosed with shingles, givenscripts and recovered. They are awful!!!
I WENT IN TO BE TESTED FOR THE COVID-19 AFTER EXPERIENCING SOME MILD SYMPTOMS AND THE STAFF WAS EXCELLENT. DR. JOHNSTON WAS VERY INFORMATIVE ON THE VIRUS ABOUT WHAT I SHOULD EXPECT AND MADE ME FEEL MORE AT EASE. THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND CARING . THEY EXPLAINED TO ME ABOUT THE TESTING AND WHAT TO EXPECT. I RECEIVED MY RESULTS IN LESS THAN 2 DAYS. THE NURSE WHO CALLED WITH MY RESULTS WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR.
It's a very hit or miss situation. I have noticed, the flow of patients has increased. With that the quality of the the staff has shifted in a not so friendly manner. They get short and impatient, they don't listen well at all, the techs have horrible bed side manner, and in the 2.5 years of going regularly with my toddler since birth, it isn't the same happy, high quality service. I use to leave very informed and confident. Now, more often than not, I leave wanting other opinions and still have several unanswered questions. It has gone down hill quite terribly.
My mother went in this morning running a fever and having issues breathing, which she assumed was just seasonal allergies before the fever. They not only made her wait 2 hours before anyone bothered to mention everyone had taken lunch, but a NP also swab my mothers nose so hard it bled. Not once did this woman stop to see if she was okay, offer tissues, nor apologize. She ran out of the room as if it never happened. This is poor patient care and terrible service. We took her to the ER instead, where they did some Xrays, and it was pneumonia. They also didn't rough her up and she was in and out instead of waiting for a dang year. I am beside myself on this. Seriously!
Zero respect for the patients time. First visit 30 min late. 2nd visit over an hour late. Sitting here for the 3rd visit and we are pushing an hour late and still not been seen. This will be my last visit to this practice. The are horrible - this will be my last visit. They suck
Dr. Youngblood is a Godsend to me and my family. He is caring, listens, and takes the time to thoroughly discuss our illnesses or conditions. Wait time is very short, he takes walkins, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Family atmosphere. Nice curious front desk office people. The wait it a average time for Guntersville area Dr. I have family that so have him as their primary Dr.
My wife took our 2-1/2 YR old son in with raspy voice, fever and a barking cough and sound of congestio and they could not give a diagnosis. Claimed that his tonsils were swollen and gave him an antibiotic. Went and got a second opinion and was told that he had an upper respiratory infection with viral CROUP which can be really serious with small children. The antibiotic they prescribed would have done nothing to the viral infection that my son had. Poor service. I'm just glad that we trusted our gut and went and got a second opinion. They better be glad nothing happened to my child. My son will not be back.
Have always been good to us and referred us to specialists, great doctors, when needed.
He treats my son and myself for symptoms of Charcott-Marie-Tooth. While he does not specialise in CMT, he does listen and is always helpful with palliative treatment. Definitely recommend him as a family doctor for anyone with CMT
I've been going there for almost 3 years and still haven't meet him. I have a back problem and its gotten worse and the nurse pract. is the one I've always seen and she doesn't do anything but use me as a ginny pig. 3 years and she is just now wanting x-rays. not a happy patient.
Excellent doctor and nurse practitioner's. Extremely professional and friendly. Had my first appointment yesterday and I'm making them my primary care physicians.
Dr. Youngblood is a great down to earth doctor, the office is great and always kind. I couldn't see anyone with any sense giving them any less than 4/5 . They are great with children and don't require an appointment to be seen. The office is small and they can get busy but they will take good care of you in a timely manner.
