One thing I have heard about this office is that the doctor is great but you have to deal with the office staff. Well, today I was told my appointment was at 9:15 and so I showed up at 9:00 to fill out any necessary paperwork. Around 9:50, I noticed people kept going back who came in after I did, so I asked about it and was told that my appointment was ACTUALLY at 9:45, but they told me to get there at 9:15 (in theory so that I had time to fill out the paperwork). (They told me on the phone the appointment WAS at 9:15.) Anyway, as it was nearing 10:00, I was told there were still two people ahead of me and it would be at least another 30 minutes before I could go back to be seen. Unfortunately, I had to leave because I had not planned on spending my entire morning trying to see the doctor. I know that doctors get behind, but whoever makes appointments should tell the patient the exact time of his/her appointment instead of factoring in 30 minutes of paperwork time that takes 5 minutes. A 9:15 appointment should mean 9:15.
I had a great experience at Dr. Remillard's. I know I’m misspelling their names but Ragena at the front desk and Tamika who does labs are very, very nice. The other staff isn’t as outgoing but they were fine as well. I also liked Dr. Remillard and he acts like just a regular person talking to you instead of a doctor, and he checked me over completely but *asked* me first. I did wait in the waiting room for an hour and the floors are pretty dirty, but once I got back it was fast and they have nice technology in the labs room. You do have to wait a week for lab results and you have to walk into the office to get them but as I work across the street this isn’t a big deal for me. I am SAVAGE with reviews especially with doctors so you can know I mean it, and I plan to go back whenever needed.
Despite what others have stated about the rude staff, I had a different experience. All of the staff including the Dr all were very polite and knowledgeable. The entire visit went very quickly and we were in and out in about an hour. The wait time was no longer than 25 min.
Dr. Remillard is a very good doctor. He listens well and takes the time required to understand my problem. Waiting time is never unreasonable. I am more than satisfied with the quality of healthcare I receive every time I go.
I've been a patient of Dr Remillard for about 17years. I have been thoroughly satisfied with him and his staff. He is very patient and caring. I appreciate his staff and all that they do.
Great Doctor and very thorough along with great staff. Love that they open at 7am now
I love Dr Remillard he always listens to me and is honest about what he does and does not know...an honesty I most greatly appreciate. He goes above and beyond for his patient. I love his nurse Joan she is simply wonderful and truly make you feel like you are family when you are there. Regina the office manager is just the sweetest with her warm smile. I truly love not only Dr Remillard and his down to earth style but his whole office they are wonderful.
Office staff uses blackmail /HIPPA VIOLATIONS IN WITHOLDING PATIENT RECORDS FOR PAYMENT OF PAST SERVICESFront desk workers are a joke. They have actually verbalized that they refuse to provide medical records to me (I was a patient there for over 10 years) due to owing a balance. The balance they say is owed is not relevant according to HIPPA. I told them this but they are standing g their ground. It’s no skin off my back to file a complaint with the CEO of baptist health system (notify him about the uneducated front desk workers there) but in addition to that I’m filing a complaint with HIPPA for the patients rights violation along with a complaint with Medicare. Dr. Remillard and his nurse are wonderful but I think they have a very hard time keeping quality employees at the front desk. They messed with the wrong patient. I’ve known other doctors to try to deny patients their medical records and they change their tone once they realize that they have one who knows how to read online lol. We are no longer in a age where rights can be violated. I hate it for dr remillard though. He’s a genuine person and a good doctor. I think he’s just focused on patient care as he should be. I doubt he’s even aware of the front desk shenanigans with the HIPPA violations etc. I’m a little shocked at the level of blackmail that the little office workers think they can go to in keeping patients medical records hostage for payment ?!? Anyway just beware of the office staff. If you can get past them the doctor is good. Although they can be very rude at times.
I have seen this doctor a few times now and I have had really good experiences. I haven't had to wait past my appointment time. He took time to listen to me. The office staff has been very polite and helpful. The nurses and lab were nice and gentle. I have no complaints whatsoever.
Mrs Bunny is the rudest people I have ever seen. The staff is so unprofessional and I wouldn’t let my goldfish be treated by them.
Extremely rude. Will NEVER RETURN.
VERY rude .
TERRIBLE FRONT DESK STAFF. THE NURSES ARE RUDE!! AND DR. REMILLARD IS A LOSER. I TOLD HIM THE MEDS HE GAVE ME DIDN'T HELP. THE STAFF IGNORED ME AND THEN SEND ME A DISMISSAL LETTER. WHEN I CALLED TO ASK WHY THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T TELL ME. THEY ARE DREADFUL PEOPLE AND EVEN WORSE AT BEING NURSES. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!
Their office staff is CLUELESS! They had me set my 26 year old son up with Dr. Remillard as his primary care physician with Medicaid in January. They told me I had to wait a month to get an appointment after that. Now they tell me on February 13th that they only see pediatric patients as of February 1st. My son is very ILL and their stupidity has set him back 2 months now in receiving care.
Love how Dr Remillard takes time to listen to your problem and will promptly take care of a problem if you feel a medication you are on isn't working, would refer him to anyone!
I am a MD from Taiwan and I've known Dr. Remillard for years. I think he is a “real doctor”. He reminds me of the good old days when your doctor knows about you , do care about you and you have the trust and confidence that he will help you. He is a doctor who listens by heart, and he responds accurately and precisely following his clinical assessments. He is very professional—from taking out an ingrown toenail to recognizing my son’s newly onset heart murmur, he is just the person whom you can rely on, especially when times in need. Dr. Remillard is also the doctor who understands the economic constraints of our “normal people”. He is not the type of person who would just tell you “I’m sorry to hear that”, but he would be on your side to help you solve the problem, if his ability permits. Lastly, it is a fair statement that nowadays it is getting really hard to find a doctor that you spontaneously feels this respect and gratitude for the things that he’s done for you and your family.
Worst ducking doctor ever never really checked my mom well numerous times I seen her so i that I recommend her to be taken to the hospital when he didn’t. Now she’s gone and he refuses to fill out paperwork for the insure ave it’s been at the facility for 6 months now. Saying he doesn’t k ow about when he clearly signed the bottom of it but didn’t fill out her medical info. Then he say the form again andsaid he didn’t have time to fill it out he had to reaearchbher chart. He’s awful I tell ya! Then his nurse takes up for him and hangs up the phone on me. What kind of nurse does that kind you never never did any bad words besides asking what’s the best way to get this form filled out she said don’t bring it here. Let it at Shelby ridge but then ag the same time tell me he can’t reneber to fill it out when he goes up there. Like really ........ His office and work sucks
The front desk staff, Especially Bonnie or Bunny (whatever her name is) is extremely rude. They failed to answer my questions, basically because they just didnt want to. I've never been treated this way by a doctor's office in my life. I will forever warn my friends and family about that place. Dr. Remillard isnt a bad doctor, he's just got HORRIBLE staff running his practice and that makes me sad for him. He deserves better.
I have never in all of my life on this earth been treated so rudely in poorly but I doctors office I was told to get my records faxed and I did I found out by calling the next day that they did not receive all that they need it before I could get out of my mouth that I would get the correct documentation I found that I had a voicemail from the office administrator telling me that he would not see me the doctor would not take me as a new patient in the front office receptionist told me the same thing on the phone that they would not see me because they did not have the correct documentation and would not allow me to gather it I own my own small business I’m also in school to get my ordination ordained that’s right and I’m not putting out something that I feel God would not want me to say except to let you know to be cautious and careful going here they are apparently not a Christian family doctor!!
Terrible service, front desk attitude awful, restroom need health inspection, not recommended to anyone!!!! BAD!!!!
