List of Willamette Dental Group's Reviews
I had NEVER had a positive experience at the dentist until my recent visit at Willamette Dental. I had my wisdom tooth removed and was in and out in minutes. The procedure was quick and painless. Thank you!
Let me be clear. The staff at this location was impeccable from the receptionist checking me in to the dental assistants taking my x ray. The reason for the 1 star is because of my experience with Dr. Francois. From the moment she entered the room I knew she didnt care. Her body language and tone said it all. It was all fake, all of it. God I cant wait to be done with this guy is the attitude I felt with this dentist. A professional she was not, at least not in how she handles patients. Perhaps she is knowledgeable in her trade. Who cares if you dont care about the person you are working on? I wouldnt let her work on me again if it was free, no. Never again. I dont like people disrespecting me.
Just finished having my crown done with Dr Case and she did a great job! The final fit was perfect and I am very pleased with her work and the dental assistant Katie.
I recently moved to the area and was in need of a new dentist. I selected Willamette and today was my first visit. I scheduled a cleaning and general check up. The office is spacious with about 79 dentist that work here. Im guessing many companies use this place for their employees dental insurance. The wait wasnt too bad, about 1015 minutes which allowed me to complete the ever dreaded new patient paperwork. Once called to the back, they took the standard xrays and the staff was friendly. I was then taken to the dental chair and a nice hygienist Egan my teeth cleaning. They still use the hand held tooth scraper pick. Honestly I was turned off some by the fact they havent advanced to using that AND the high pressure water pick that removes plaque. It seems a bit outdated. My teeth were polished so I was happy about that. The dentist was very knowledgeable and took the time to talk about my teeth. I was impressed with him. The issue that baffled me is the insurance only covers one free cleaning a year UNLESS the dentist determines you need additional cleaning. Basically you are punished for having taking care of your teeth? I find this weird, why reward people who dont have any self care with additional free visits? Overall, I rate this place a 3. The staff is great, the actual insurance coverage not the best in my opinion.
I have had nothing but problems with the dental work done at South Hill Puyallup Willamette Dental Group. Four teeth that they put fillings in all blew up on me and the feelings fell out and I am in extreme pain. They said they wont fix them unless I pay more money. This dental work only lasted one year at the most for each tooth. Terrible customer service on the phone trying to get this resolved
Amazing company for dental patients AND dental employees!
Customer service finishes dead last in Willamette Dentals priorities. Closed their only central Tacoma location with no warning. After switching from Washington Dental (awesome but no ortho) to Willamette, I now find myself with over an hour drive every time I, or one of my 5 kids, has a dental or ortho appointment. Definitely dont switch to Willamette if you want to be treated like a person, rather than a number. WD is all about assembly line dentistry.
As far as the dental service, Id say it was subpar. The dentist was okay, but he didnt make me feel all that comfortable. My problem though was with the fact that they were very unclear about charges and what would be covered by my insurance. When I came in I was a little nervous, I knew dental work could add up quick and only wanted a basic cleaning and check up. They talked me into an extra Xray and told me that it was pretty routine and they had checked with moda and it would be covered. So I agreed. But as soon as I stepped out of the office one of the billing ladies told me that they were mistaken and actually it probably wasnt going to be covered! I should have probably just checked into it myself before agreeing to it. But I put my trust in the very friendly receptionist and feel taken advantage of. I have called several times to talk about this issue, but I am only met with rudeness by the accounts department. I was surprised because I have never had this issue with a dentist in the past. Lesson learned! Buyer beware.
Warning: if you care about your dental health and think that you might ever need a dentist in an emergency please dont choose Willamette Dental Group. Face is swollen, jaw infected, pain is horrible. They have one dentist that can help... on Sept. 16th. When asked for other options the dentist started treating me like I was being unreasonable and yelled at me.
Dr. Mark Chambers of Willamettes Idaho Falls office is a credit to his profession. His expertise, dedication and genuine decency impress me very much. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of dental work. He went above and beyond to ensure I got needed dental work done before my insurance coverage expired due to an abrupt layoff. He and his staff were most accommodating, friendly and concerned. For that, I cannot thank them enough!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
