Dr. Gilstrap was very personable and listened to me. She did send me to a couple of specialists which I am thankful for.

DO NOT USE FOR ROUTINE CARE! My MD closed her practice and so I made an appt to see Dr Gilstrap 6 months in advance for my follow up blood work. Saw her for about 5 minutes and told her all was good, just needed blood work and routine 6 month check. I was shocked to learn that she considered this a "sick" visit and I was charged almost $300 above what insurance paid. At first I was sure it was an error and called to have them re-file as "preventative". I was told that preventative visits only cover weight and blood pressure check. I don't need an MD for that! She obviously was paid more for the "sick" visit. I have seen physicians routinely for the last 30 years and NEVER had this problem.

I visited Dr. Gilstrap in September, I was sick, I had an appointment to get my prescriptions filled already, she told me that I was only allowed 15 minutes, she did not have time to help me with my problems because she was behind schedule, that is word for word, I walked out in tears . The rudest doctor ever! The nurses were great!

Very poor choice for someone to manage your health- her current practice seeks to selectively treat only what they wish and refer many chronic, managed conditions to specialists. Possibly revenue-motivated or lacking confidence or competence. Convenient location, but recent complete turnover in MDs makes one wonder.
