Diane Counce's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Counce is a rockstar! I’ve been coming to see her for well over 5 years now. Not only is her facility really clean and welcoming, Dr. Counce is not a doctor the RUSHES YOU OUT of her office, y’all when you’re being evaluated for Chronic migraines you do not want a doctor that comes in and out rushing, this perhaps why her appointments take a little longer prepare yourself, She is not a doc in a box, she’s a neurologist a specialist in her field. I’ve never felt judged while being evaluated, i feel validated and understood. And she cares she finds alternatives 💜 she’s a winner in my book! Best in Alabama 💜

Y’all! I have been to multiple neurologist with zero answers as to what’s wrong with me! I finally have answers and clarity! Dr. Counce did nerve blocks in my neck and for the first time in years my neck doesn’t hurt! I also have a way forward for treatment!!!! Thank God for Dr. Counce!

Scheduled an appt at 2:15, arrived at 1:47. Sat in waiting room until 3:30, which was when I was told I could not be seen that day. I do not fully understand why they think it is okay to treat patients this way. I am not one to complain, I work in healthcare so I understand, but to make me sit in an empty waiting room for almost 2 hours then turn me away is unacceptable.

Patients ARE NOT improtant to this doctor. It is just a busniess ran like a business and not an ounce of patient health care. Find an other doctor besides this one.

I was a patient for over 7 years every 3-4 months, during which time I saw Dr. Counce less than once a year (I usually was given an appointment with a Nurse Practitioner. When my seizures increased to daily and I developed dimentia, I decided to get a second opinion. After being hospitalized, it was found that I was taking four times the seizure medication I should have been taking. If that’s not enough to scare you, this office does not practice recommended COVID guidelines.

Dr. Counce is very thorough in finding out your problem. A great personally and very professional. I trust her completely and she has helped me tremendously. Highly recommend her.

Her front desk staff is terrible! I was in ER twice over the weekend and was told to see her asap. When I called her office I was told anything over 3 years since last visit is considered a new patient. I am 3 years and ONE day since my last appt with her. They can't see me until October because I'm no longer considered a pre existing patient. I asked for doctor to please call me back and her front desk staff yelled at me and said "you're not a preexisting patient anymore because it's been 1 day past the 3 years and the doctor won't call you for any reason because you are a new patient now". Her front desk staff has no compassion at all, you can tell she hates her job and hates the patients. Would not reccomend!!! 0 out of 5 stars for this!

Be very careful with Dr. Counce. She intentionally misdiagnosed me with MS. I could tell she was lying to me when I started questioning her about my test results. I went to two other neurologist that verified my suspicion after looking at the test results she did. She had me to do a Lumbar puncture which i did not need. Turns out I had Lymes disease and is now receiving the appropriate treatment . I know anyone can make a mistake but this was done intentionally. After I started questioning her and telling her what the other Neurologist said and was asking, she deleted my patient portal because that was the only way I could communicate with her.Also, to my surprise she sent me to Image south to do a MRI and I found out she does not allow the Radiologist there to read her patients MRI's,she read them herself.The ladies at the front desk told me this when I started questioning why was her name on my mri report.Hmmm,I wonder why?All of my records have been turned in to the Alabama medical board for investigation. BE CAREFUL EVERYONE!! Oh, she tried to put me on a mail order med (Tecfidera) and charged my insurance 7700.00.for one month. Needless to say my insurance company have been reimbursed.Google her and look at the kick backs she's receiving on some of these meds especially headache and migraine meds. I wish I could give 0 stars because that's what she deserves. Ruined my 2018 Christmas and New Years. Too many details to go into on here but people please be careful with this lady.

I have been treated by Dr. Counce for Migraines and Neuropathy now for 5+ years. She is highly intelligent yet, doesn't talk down to you. She genuinely cares about each and every patient. She came highly recommended by not on her peers (Rheumatologist, Optamalogists, Physical Therapist s, etc) but so many different patients. I would run into patients of hers at Lakeshore Physical Rehab (stroke survivors), people who have MS I MEAN SHE IS JUST REALLY AMAZING. She is up to speed on the latest drug trials to help slow down Alzheimer's , Migraines etc. She takes time to try to help you with affordable treatment. So when I see reviews of someone complaining that they may have had to wait a long period of time I say to you apparently you are BLESSED that you aren't afflicted or suffering that you are in need of a Doctor that will spend more than 5 to 30 minutes with you to REALLY TRY TO HELP YOU MEDICALLY & with AFFORDABLE INSURANCE COVERED CARE . The Government and INSURANCE companies want Physicians to spend about 10 minutes per patient. Ten minutes per patient gives you poor bedside manner and little no healthcare solutions. Dr. Counce and her staff work tiresly to provide the level of care that they would want for let's say their on family. With that being said I would wait ALL DAY IF I HAD TO JUST TO BE SEEN AND TREATED BY DR. COUNCE. OH and to address the individual that made such an "ignorant " comment about her office being a "pill mill" or writing opiate scripts...SIR THE GOVERNMENT STOPPED THAT OVER 4 YEARS AGO WATCH THE NEWS EDUCATE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU START MAKING DEFAMATORY ACCUSATIONS.

Very smart, kind and caring. Very good at what she does and loves her job. Listens very well
