Elizabeth Perkins's Online Review Report Card

I gave Dr Keminson two visits, and overall I had an extremely poor experience both times. The one star is for her awesome staff, not for her. It’s so sad that there are doctors like her that many folks in our community rely on for care.

Doctor Elizabeth Perkins was my Rheumatologist for five years. I thought she was a great doctor until she dismissed me as a patient in June 2021 because I refused the Covid vaccine. I had Covid in January 2021 and still have antibodies, no need for the vaccine. Very hurt, sad, disappointed still devastated in her decision. :(

If Zero stars was an option I would use it instead. We’ve been trying to find answers for about 4 years now. I’ve been to the neurologist, oncologist/hematologist, orthopedic, and even a cardiologist and they all say something is wrong but they aren’t sure what it is. I’ve got one Doctor trying to name it after me because she’s not sure what it is but knows it’s something. Well, even with a referral from my physician (which he didn’t write it like I’d asked and was very vague, but ok) they wouldn’t see me at this establishment. I was hoping with them being female physicians they would actually listen and care about a patient that does need help finding some answers. At the very least, they could have called the patient and spoke with them or have someone in office do so and see what all is going on. Instead they just denied my referral and didn’t even inform me until I called to check if they had received it. Yes, I understand it said Osteoarthritis arthritis on the referral but it’s hitting every joint, running fevers, crippling fatigue, hurting all over, among other symptoms and I’m only 30. I have been living with this for 5-6 years, I just wanted answers. There’s something is causing it and I’m tired of living in pain. My hunt will continue, very disappointed in this office and how they handled the situation. I will not be recommending them to anyone from the surrounding areas of Alabama and I am asked frequently on suggestions. Also, Some physicians are very vague or don’t believe their patients especially if they are women and we fall though the cracks because they believe it’s all in our head.

Absolutely without a doubt the best hands down. I had gone for I am guessing 15 yrs with issues. Aches, pains, weight gain, early menopause @37 and hair loss - just to list a few. All my REGULAR labs came back NORMAL with my regular family practice so it was deemed AGING. UNTIL I took a zip lock bag of hair in to my FP and said enough is enough. She ran more in depth testing and YEP positive on some of the markers, so a referral was submitted and I was able to get in to seeDr. Lindsay Kelmenson, MD in June 2020 to which she ran a gamut of testing and got me answers in no time flat. She not only explained in depth that it was not curable, but manageable with lifestyle changes made a lasting impression on me and then she gave me guidelines to go by and within 3 months I was on the road to feeling normal for once in years... my labs were the best they had been in yrs. She is the best.

I have gone to various rheumatologist, but Dr. Perkins is the absolute best! She is such a blessing in my life.

Wonderful doctor. She is compassionate and listens and really helps you get to the bottom of the problems. I’ve been with her five years and cannot say enough about how great and patient she has been with me.

I love Dr. Perkins!! With her guidance, and Xeljanz, I feel better than I have in years!! Thank you, Dr. Perkins, for giving me my life back!

i have seen Dr. Perkins for 6 months and she has gotten my psoriatic arthritis under control. She is kind, thoughtful and she listens to her patients. if you need a rheumatologist, i can highly recommend Dr. Perkins!

Dr. Perkins is an excellent doctor. She takes her time, is thoughtful, resourceful and compassionate. She’s always open to any thoughts or concerns I have with my treatment. I think she’s wonderful and consider myself lucky to have such a great doctor in my corner.

Dr. Perkins has been my physician for years and she was able to diagnose and treat my arthritis when many other doctors had failed. Her staff is amazingly helpful and compassionate and I just couldn't recommend her more. They go above and beyond to get help for their patients and it makes dealing with a chronic illness less stressful.
