10 min or less Doctor I call it. His office was full of patents so I can hear him going room to room and decided to time him. He would spend 10 mins or less with each patient and hop to the next room. Also extremely rude to work with. Told me my scans were clean and he couldn’t fix me, and that I should go to spine care, butspine care referred me to him!! After two visits I was done and told the VA to take him off the referral list to other veterans.

I’ve now only been twice to this neurologist. Referred by my primary. He has started me on a nerve medicine which some what works. A nerve conduction test was done, it was normal. An mri was done, I had to be called back for more imaging only to hear its “normal” yet after 9 doctors now, they still can’t seem to find anything when you can certainly look at my leg and tell there is NOTHING normal about it. I feel like I’ve lost half of my leg and no idea why or how. Can’t lay on it, if I sit certain ways it’s worse, I can feel internally I’m “sitting on something” that doesn’t belong there. It’s strange. I had to repeat myself 3 times to him, to get the point that it’s coming from my leg and not my back (during my first visit) But every test appears to come back normal. How?? I’m hoping I can get Answers soon because sadly this has been going on for over a year. 2 diff dermatologist, 2 diff neurologist, primary, OBGYN, TOC AND SPORTSMED. And no one can figure it out????? I’m running out of hope in the medical field, I’m tired of having to call to hunt down answers, and really just want to be heard by the right doctor because no one seems to know the “right doctor” to handle this per their area of profession. I’m not sure if I need to try ortho next or not. I just need answers not just medicine.If I could post pictures of my leg on this thread I would.Thanks!

He was too busy to answer even the most basic questions I asked regarding a stroke... Ignored any of my comments or concerns... Won’t be back...

The first time I went, I talked to interns almost the whole time. They were really nice but when he came in he didn’t really talk to me at all. I want a doctor who asks questions and listens. All he practically told me was to not drive which I told him I haven’t drove in years and he continued to tell me three more times. I told them what medicine my old doctor had me on, and explained how it was the only one that worked for me. He immediately prescribed me the generic form, and it made my seizures SO much worst that I had to quit taking it. I was having seizures back to back, I was tired 24-7 which doesn’t help, and I was angry a lot. Another problem, is that he didn’t even run tests to see if I was having seizures (I know I was and still am but I feel like a doctor should run tests before giving you a medicine). Well, I left and came to my next appointment. When I showed up to the office, the people at the front decided to tell me that I didn’t need to show up, after I waited in the lobby for an hour. They said it was accidentally made and that they tried calling me to tell me but they called my old number that was on my old doctors records from years ago. They didn’t even look at the new paperwork I gave specifically for them for my new number to tell me not to come in and I had to leave work and miss time. That’s when I stopped my medicine and didn’t go back.

He doesn’t listen very well. Staff is very rude. My main complaint is him. If I call and need to change my meds or anything, he will call in an order for something I’m allergic to ( he has done twice). He doesn’t listen at all to concerns or anything. He rushes patients out the door and I do not find that ok. Overall, I would not recommend him to anyone. I would put my full observation of the place down, but it’s too long and ugh. My overall thought of the place, it’s awful.

Dr. Alapati has treated my Mothers Parkinsons for years, she has been diagnosed for almost 20 years. His goal is to help her manage with medications to reduce the impact and symptoms to help her maintain a good quality of life. Her quality of life is so much better than many other people we know that has Parkinsons and not been diagnosed nearly as long and do not use this doctor. We are very happy with the care she has and is receiving from him.

Dr Alapati is an excellent clinician. He is also a very good listener, very nice, always wants to know about any problems or concerns & explains anything new. He does have an accent but will happily repeat anything.

"if it ain't broke, don't fix it". This was my first visit after my neurologist of over 10 years left town for a new job. The treatment I was on had worked well, yet Dr. Alapati completely ruined it and my quality of life. He tried to prescribe a new medication that my insurance would not accept even with a prior authorization and did not refill any of my previous prescriptions. So I was left with no headache/migraine relief and nothing for the burning/pins and needles in my feet or for restless legs. I'm sorry I cannot recommend this Doctor to anyone, He let a student do the assessment and came into the room for all of a minute afterward. He does seem like a nice enough fellow though.

Dr. Alapati was very professional and kind. His nurse was amazing as well.

He is rude and short with patients and their families. He seemed quite annoyed about having any kind of communication and on several occasions. Not inclined to run proper tests or follow up tests. It was like he couldn't be bothered with details.
