This place should be closed down it should not even be accepting people because they cannot and they will not take care of you... My loved one was in there for less than 48 hours, they will let you sit in feces they will not bring you nothing to drink they will not bring your pain medicine they do not care about no one this place should be closed down forever and never reopened!!!!

Friendly facility where my late husband stayed and where I could stay on a pullout rocker at night to be with him.

My Dad was in this facility for just over 2 weeks. We were not allowed to see him because he was in isolation since he was not vaccinated for Covid. I was not able to contact him for the week prior to his death. No one would answer the main line most of the time. If I was lucky enough to have my call answered I would ask to speak to his nurse. I left voice mail messages requesting a return call. I even left a message for the nursing director. My calls were not returned. I was notified on the Sunday of that week that he was not breathing well and was going to the hospital. He had arrested prior to arrival and was resuscitated but non responsive. He died that night. He had a stage 4 bed sore according to the hospital staff. I would not recommend sending a patient here.

Do not trust your loved ones to this facility for short term or long term care. My husband needed short term PT and care after being in the hospital for 33 days with COVID, 23 days on the ventilator. He arrived on a Thursday night. On Friday when I went to sign him in they were already trying to get me to take him home even though he had orders for inpatient rehab. Despite being told that he would get PT on the weekends he did not. He also could not get a shower for three days, meds he needed were not gotten from the pharmacy or just not given. They also did not check his identity for meds or care. One person tried to bring him Tylenol for a he did not have and one tech slapped his foot to wake him to change his adult diaper (which he did not wear at all). He was told the reason he could not get a shower was because no one had access to the oxygen room. So if your loved one needed oxygen on the weekend, they could not get it. He had an oxygen concentrator in his room but that could not go to the shower room. The staff was rude. Slapped him on the foot to wake him, brought meds to his room and just left them for him to take. Seemed bothered when he needed anything at all. He was a fall risk and left on his own to go to the bathroom. His diet was supposed to be advanced to regular, but that did not happen either. As soon as the doctor came in to see him and I could contact the social worker(who is amazing and a pleasure to deal with) we asked for him to be discharged. He received no care to speak of. Now we have asked for our copay back since the care was non-existent and the experience awful. No one will call us back now. The business office said that they could not say if we could get our money back until insurance paid. So they are holding our copay hostage for their awful care. I work in a healthcare facility and know that a facility’s decision to refund copay for complaints has nothing to do with waiting on insurance to process. DO NOT take your loved one there. Family members can not visit in person and your loved one will have no advocate available to them.

You can clearly tell workers are doing reviews to bring up the ratings. Lol. Sad. This place is horrible. They get multiple lawsuits per year. Do not send your family here.

nor 5 or 1 yet. at 9.15 i called to leave message that my father had not received his breakfast yet. no haircut no washing of clothes after 3 weeks.his medication was delayed most of the time.i will pick him up if this keeps on but they will hear me of anything else is going on.besides that,staff has been polite with me all the time.

Do not put anybody here. I have a family member there recovering from Covid-19. They are perfectly able to use a bed pan with help. Not to mention, my family member is in their 50’s. The staff put my family member in an adult diaper and made them have a bowel movement in the diaper! Humiliated is not even the word! Laziness at its best! Unfortunately this is the only place insurance would pay for or they would not be there! And honestly I have know idea the condition of the building or who even works there, due to covid, I can not enter the building. I do know the outside is terrible. Please find somewhere better for your family meme we if possible.

Big Springs is a great facility for short term patients as well as long term care residents. The staff works hard to care for the residents and patients. The therapy team is top notch and works very hard to assist their short term patients to reach their goals of returning home. Another strength this facility has is assisting families with whether or not their loved one is ready to transition to the next level of care whether that be an assisted living facility, independent living, returning to their prior living arrangement, or if their level of care requires them to transition to long term care. The interdisciplinary team works hard to make sure the patients return to the safest environment with the most independence and best quality of life. The therapy team is also excellent in assisting their long term residents to attain and maintain their highest level of function so the patients remain as independent as possible for as long as possible. New management is now is place and are working hard to provide the very best care for every patient that enters this building.

Big springs is a great place to be if you need rehab or long term care. It has an excellent therapy staff. The nursing team is very caring. There are many changes taking place and it is getting even better. Its a great place to work and live or for a short rehab. The management team is amazing. They are always willing to listen.
