Dr. Allen is very thorough and attentive. She takes time to talk to patients and listen to their concerns. Usually don’t have to wait long.

I would not recommend anyone going to this doctor. We had two instances that were bothersome. We had a annual physical done in March that was supposed to be covered with no copay, but I still received a bill. After talking with my insurance we learned that I was being charged because something else was discussed during the visit. She asked me if I had had any changes in me medically in the last year and I told her I had a back procedure. She doesn't treat me for anything when it comes to my back and that was the primary code billed to my insurance. It seemed like a money grab. We talked with the office and asked that the doctor call us and explain the situation and heard nothing back. We then receive a certified letter stating that she will no longer treat us. My guess is she got caught and took the easy way out. I am actually glad because I would like to be able to trust who is treating me. I would think twice before going to her.

I have been a patient of Dr. Allen’s since she came to Huntsville. She is the best! She is caring, extremely responsive and very attentive to my needs. I can’t say enough good about Dr. Allen.

Never a long wait

We’ve been going to Dr. Cost for a decade and I have never had a better doctor. No matter how busy, he listens to what you’re saying to him and makes adjustments based on your actual life and lifestyle. I’ve never heard a bad thing about any doctor at this practice. I also never have waited more than five minutes in the decade we’ve been going here. It’s just an efficient and pleasant experience.

I have been with Dr. Allen since she started practicing in Huntsville, AL. She is a WONDERFUL Dr. and a God send! I am 61 years young and I totally trust Dr. Allen with my life! She listens to me completely when I have an appt. and spends as much time with me as necessary! It helps that she gets my sense of humor! She definitely concerned about my health and provides me with suggestions on how to better my health! When I was suffering from left hip pain, which eventually led to left hip replacement, she did all she could to ease my pain, to include being empathetic! When I have been depressed, Dr. Allen has helped me out immensely! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a GREAT Dr.!

Dr. Allen is great to review your numbers from your blood work. Appointments are made in a timely manner and not a long wait time.

I have been seeing Dr. Allen for over 20 years and have always been pleased. The only bad thing is if you have a run of good health (no colds or flu) and don’t visit in over two years your records are archived. It takes some effort to get unarchived which can be a pain if you are sick and can’t get in for a visit.

Dr Karen Allen and her staff have given me excellent care for Many years! Receive information and procedures about my any problems and how to treat them. She is always willing to refer me to specialist as indicated. She always takes time with me and I never feel rushed.I feel that I receive the best of care from her and her staff!

I selected Dr. Allen randomly out of the phone book based on convenience (her office was located nearby) and we shared the same first name so I thought she'd be as good as any. Looking back, what a silly way to select a general physician. Thankfully, she's been wonderful. She is easy to talk to and thorough in her exams and has a great team of nurses and NPs to help her take care of her patients.
