List of Matthew Sykes's Reviews
Dr. Sykes showed up late to the office. I had an 8:30am appointment, and around 8:15, I heard the receptionist tell the person who had an 8am appointment with him that Dr. Sykes hadn't arrived yet. When I finally got to meet with him, he did a very quick exam of my knees that was nowhere near thorough. He had my bend my knees one time and that was it. He mispronounced the name of a fairly common genetic disorder I have and then proceeded to prescribe exercises that I (or anyone with my condition) would not be able to do. His bedside manner also needs some work.
Great doctor's and nurses. They are very friendly and will listen to you instead of just assuming
Dr. Sykes is knowledgeable and patient. He is an excellent physician.
Good experience with the overall diagnosis and treatment plan. A torn meniscus. The referral to Dr. Moore was on point. Thank you all. I am raving about it to all who will listen.
Excellent visit. Dr ANF staff were caring, extremely efficient and kept me well informed on what to expect.
An all-around great experience--easy processes, fantastic doctors and therapists, and great facilities. They worked with me to find the best solutions to meet my specific needs. I highly recommend SportsMed.
Very professional & friendly but expected more x-rays after swelling subsided to reassure me against any hairline fractures. However, this wasn't deemed necessary by Dr Sykes. I have had some pain & weird feeling in that arm & hand since then. 🤔
I saw Dr. Sykes bc I had dropped a 50# marble slab on the top of my right foot. The top of my foot was swollen w obvious discoloration. I had been awake most all night with it elevated and iced. After the xray his dx was a "bone spur" in the EXACT spot where the injury was. I had never experienced pain or discomfort in that area. At that point he asked could he do anything else for me. I requested " maybe a few lortab" just for a couple days. His response was that he would give me 5 tylenol#3. I told him that he could keep his prescription, that I would make do without anything he had. His affect had been completely flat since entering the room. He never smiled or made small talk in any way. I am a retired RN and am fully aware of the mind set of the profession concerning pain medications and was absolutely NOT drug seeking. I had an obvious injury. In the days that followed, my foot continued to be edematous and the coloration progressed until it was gone in about 1 1/2 weeks. I am very hesitant to believe that I just happened to have a "bone spur" in the exact location of the injury. I have no idea what he had going on that day but felt that MY care was subpar. I have used SportsMed for years and referred many friends to that service. This incident will not stop me from using my regular doctors but I will be hesitant to ever seen Dr Sykes again.
It seemed like a well-organized office. The visit went well. The doctor and his staff agreed to fill out paperwork for my employer and I cannot get them to return my calls. It has been weeks. Unacceptable.
Dr. Sykes is absolutely a true professional. His evaluation was extremely thurough and easy to understand when speaking with him. A true proffesional in his area of sports medicine.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
