Patricia Mccoy's Online Review Report Card

I had cataract surgery of one eye by Dr McCoy last week and will have my other eye operated on next week. She and her staff are very efficient and proficient and have treated me with respect and caring. All procedures from pre-op to post-op were explained in detail. It means a lot to feel safe when someone is operating on a delicate thing such as your eyes. My vision in the one eye has improved dramatically since surgery. I have had no complications. I look forward to my next surgery on my other eye being performed by Dr McCoy. I have the utmost confidence that the procedure will go well.

Dr McCoy may be very good, but I hardly ever got to see her. I was given appointments with the optometrist in her practice instead. As I wanted a board certified ophthalmologist, not an optometrist, I changed to a different practice. It’s interesting to me to see the positive reviews given her staff; I didn’t have the same experience: a couple of the people I had contact with were pleasant, but the last time I went the person I saw was impatient, uncaring, and not well trained— she repeatedly stuck me in the eye trying to measure pressure. A second assistant was extremely rude when I asked a question. I’m willing to overlook a lot if I’m getting solid professional care, but unfortunately that was not the case with this practice.

I have been going to Dr. McCoy for many years. She & her staff have always given me excellent care. They are very thorough & kind. I would definitely recommend her.

This is THE most unfriendly and unprofessional office and doctor ever. My cataract surgery was like being in an assembly line. There were at least 10 of us in the pre-op room (pre Covid) and Dr McCoy literally didn’t speak more than 5 words to me.- or to any patient in the room. My cornea was scratched during the procedure and I experienced eye pain afterwards that I had to see my local doctor for sine my calls were not ever returned.

Good doc, but take your lunch and prepare for a LONG wait....

Dr. McCoy comes highly recommended for anyone with eye problems. We both go every year. She is listed as a Specialist Dr under our Medical Insurance, but does not participate in separate Vision Insurance.

Dr. McCoy is the best, literal miracle worker. The cataract I had in both eyes were bad within one week she replaced both lenses. Improve my in my vision is remarkable. Can’t say how much I am great full to her. Highly recommend her!

Very caring doctor and staff who puts your eye health at the forefront. She is busy because she is an excellent Ophthalmologist.
