He and his staff were informative and professional. I felt they truly cared for their patients.
He and his staff are informed and professional. I strongly recommend them.
This organization is not a local medical practice but is part of a multi-state corporation with satellite facilities in 27 cities. It has dermatologists that float from site to site with nurse practitioners that are responsible for seeing a large percentage of the patients. My wife tried to set up an appointment with the doctor but was told that a nurse practitioner was the only available option. We have very good BC/BS health insurance and always use in-network providers. The visit seemed to be routine until we received an invoice in the mail for $$$$ almost two months after the appointment. This organization sent the tissue samples to an out-of-state facility located in Panama City, Florida without notifying us. The associated pathology charges were significantly higher than local facilities and further research showed that this facility is part of a multi-state corporation. The primary focus of this organization is to maximize profits at the expense of patient care.
Dr. Calcote is excellent! Not only is he a loving, caring doctor, his bedside manner is excellent! I am a Christian, and he loves the Lord too. He is always a source of encouragement to me. I am extremely satisfied with Dr. Calcote! He answers questions, has been gentle during the procedures I have had, always showing concern for my wellbeing, and has always answered any questions I have asked to my satisfaction. He is always professional. I JUST LOVE DR. CALCOTE!!!
Dr Calcote is extremely knowledgeable and competent. A doctor that also shows kindness and compassion for his patients. I am very satisfied and blessed to have a doctor of this magnitude helping me get well.

Yes I would recommend him. He is an excellent dermatologist. He is caring and very professional. He is kind and gentle with any surgery or biopsy.
Takes his time with me. Explains what he is doing and why. Explains the condition and the treatment in non-medical, easy to understand terms. Answers my questions. And provides follow-up if it's needed, but not unnecessarily.
Dr. Calcote creeped me out. I had a breakout on my back that has happened both times after pregnancy, likely hormone/PCOS related according to my OB. Dr. Calcote told me it would NEVER go away, that it was adult acne, and that I would need Accutane, however, in order to take Accutane I would be mandated to be on birth control and take weekly pregnancy tests because it can "really mess up" a baby. He then went on to describe the horrific birth defects it can cause, and counseled me on not getting pregnant instead of how to fix my skin. His bedside manner is awful and at times I wondered about his mental stability. In the end, he threw a few rather expensive creams at me but assured me they would not work. After a few months of using CeraVe over the counter, it is now under control. No thanks to him or this office.
I would not recommend anyone to use Dr. Calcote. I went to him for a complete check, but mainly for a bump I had on my nose. He said it wasn't anything to be concerned about. He could take it off if I wanted but it would be considered cosmetic and insurance wouldn't pay. It continued to grow, so I went to someone else. BASIL CELL SKIN CANCER. I am scheduled for surgery. ALSO the same appointment I was concerned about my hair falling out. He said I would have to make a special appointment concerning that. I did. He ran his fingers through my hair and said it is hereditary. He got to collect on another office visit. Also tried to collect for cosmetic surgery. I am very upset. DO NOT use this man.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
