List of Stephen Clark's Reviews
“Dr Clark requires his patients to arrive early” This was the explanation I received from his office after I called to find out why I was asked to arrive at crestwood at 8:30am for colonoscopy. I am still sitting here at 10:45 knowing there is a patient in front of me. I guess only his time is valuable!
Dr. Clark is an excellent physician! He explains his medical methodology in a succinct and detailed manner. I was naturally apprehensive due to the nature of my visit (area of my body) and he made me feel at right at ease and so did his office / nursing staff! Would highly recommend!
This so called doctor nearly killed an immediate family member due to shear neglect of the surgical screw up he had made. If there was a zero rating I would give him 5 points below it. Medical arrogance gets patients hurt or worse. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.
I had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DR TO ANYONE!! HIS APPEARANCE WAS DISHEVELED & UNCLEAN TO START, HE GAVE ME NO INFO OTHER THAN THE MEDS USED TO KNOCK ME OUT " THE STUFF THAT KILLED MICHAEL JACKSON " HE SAID.... WHICH WAS EXTREMELY PAINFUL GOING IN THE I. V IN MY HAND...IN A SMALL, OFFICE TYPE ROOM THAT LOOKED NOTHING LIKE STERIL or an O.R AT ALL!! WOKE UP TO SOME NURSE SAYING " HE DIDN'T FIND ANYTHING "... Helped me dress and QUICKLY WHEELED ME TO MY HUSBAND IN THE CAR! NO PICTURES OR VIDEO OF ANY PROCEDURE DONE TO ME WHILE I WAS UNCONSCIOUS, NO FOLLOW UP SCHEDULED, NO OTHER INFO AND THEN, I RECIEVED A BILL FOR $1,000 AND WAS TOLD MY INSURANCE DIDN'T COVER IT.. !! ..OBVIOUSLY THEY FEEL IT WAS A BOGUS OPERATION, THE SAME AS I DO AND ARE DISPUTING THE CHARGES !! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNACCEPTABLE TREATMENT PERIOD !!!!
Not happy waiting hours and hours in the Surgery Center with a 6:30 AM appointment. It was originally scheduled for 10 AM, they called and said that the schedule was changed and they offered me a 5:30 or 6:30 appointment. I took the 6:30, showed up 10 minutes early, and it's now about 11AM and I'm still in the waiting room.
Dr. Clark and entire staff were wonderful to work with during a very difficult health crisis. The waiting room is always full and yet they get you in quickly. And even though he is busy, I have never felt like he was trying to hurry me. He always listens and answers my questions. The ease and promptness of both surgeries was appreciated. Surgery scheduler was so very sweet and kind with all I was going through. I’m very grateful for Dr. Clark and his staff!
Dr. Clark was the C/R surgeon on call when I was admitted to Crestwood. He was very patient with me and provided lots of simple terminologies to provide me the info I could understand. This was very soothing since I was by myself given the COVID situation. On follow up I would definitely recommend coming with your questions written down. His staff is wonderful and patient.
Dr. Clark seems to be alright, but could work on his beside manners.Example: Don't rush and ask your patient if you have any questions. The 1 star review goes to the unprofessional front office staff Mallory, Cathy that completes the FMLA paperwork, and I'm not sure of the other unprofessional lady at the sign in desk. When you have a patient with a new cancer diagnosis, you could atleast have some sort of compassion and not make sarcastic comments about him when he's sitting right in front of you. We're far from deaf!!! He's the nicest person and every single one of you showed lack of character and no compassion. It was visible that Cathy that did the FMLA ppwk did NOT want to do her job and even refused medical records, because she was making things difficult. If she hates working with the public that much, she's made a huge error in her career path. If you heard me call her rude, I said it!!! Don't sit concerned worried I was talking about you, you would know. And Diagnosis' should not be yelled across the waiting area. My recommendation would too do a clean sweep with the front office staff!!!! I know times are hard and people don't want to work and people that do work don't want to be there, but I would highly recommend it. Laws are in place for reason and your office staff clearly needs training!!!!!
I had my first appointment with Dr. Clark today, Thursday, March 12, 2020. I had to reschedule on Tuesday because I had a bad reaction to the liquid prep given before my CT scan. Based on reviews I read, I was prepared to shell out $50 for a missed appointment, but when my daughter and I arrived at his office, I wasn't charged anything. Further, I'd read several negative reviews about his office staff/scheduling that nearly made me cancel altogether and seek a different doctor, but the staff was friendly & efficient. We were taken back quickly after completing the forms on a computer pad. Dr. Clark gave me a rundown of my surgery, providing every answer before I'd asked. He was down to earth, clear, and comforting. He explained that I wouldn't necessarily require a colostomy, something I'd been worried about. He's using robotics and laparoscopic surgery to repair a fistula between my bladder & colon. He was very positive about the expected outcome and recovery.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
