Needed a regular eye exam for contacts and eyeglasses and scheduled it with America's Best in Gadsden (which was my first mistake, but my regular doc was booked up). Dr. Ferris was the most arrogant, rude, belittling, physician that I have ever encountered. I've dealt with a not-so-great bedside manner, but this was way beyond that. He got visibly angry that I could not read his chart. I'm almost positive that my eyeglass prescription is wrong. The icing on the cake was when I told him my contacts were uncomfortable and dried my eyes out terribly and he told me I would just have to "deal with that", laughed, and REFUSED to prescribe me different ones, even though I paid for a contact lens exam. He probably spent a total of five minutes with me and the entire time he was being rude and sarcastic for no reason. You could tell that this was not just a bad day for him, because the employees there were tiptoeing around and apologizing for him too. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away!

This “Doctor” is currently working in Huntsville, Alabama at America’s Best contacta&eyeglasses. He struck me as an arrogant person with no class or respect for patience’s. Not sure if his been doing it for so long that he forgot that he is in the costumer service business. I will not be going back to that location.

I highly recommend Dr. Ferris. I had some issues with my eyes after I had lasik surgery and cataract surgery and Dr. Ferris was able to explain the issue. Just last year, when I asked about doing the Ortho-K Corneal Retainers he said I should be a good candidate so we agreed to try. I am very happy with that. I can see better now than ever before. If any one needs a good optometrist then I highly recommend Dr. Mark Ferris.
