David Bigler's Online Review Report Card

This was the most bizarre consult I've ever had. A nurse warned me that Dr. Bigler was a "talker" so I didn't mind that she chose to stay in the room during the routine office visit. What she didn't tell me was that this man was apparently suffering some sort of cognitive decline. I had to repeat my concern (hair loss) essentially six times before he understood what I was coming in for. He kept trying to ascribe the recent hair loss to a medication I take because he believed I started the medicaton recently, even though I'd said about five times that I'd started it five years ago. The nurse tried to explain that I'd started it five years ago-- not recently--but he just Did. Not. Understand. This. He literally could not follow the conversation. I was truly at a loss of how to communicate with this man so I just let the nurse do it. Obviously, never going back.

Dr Bigler claims that he performs Mohs surgery for skin cancer but in reality does nothing like the procedure is supposed to be. The procedure, as described in medical journals, is supposed to be a series of lesion removals that go outward from the lesion center and checked under a microscope until the lesion is gone and no cancerous cells appear to be present in the surrounding skin tissue. From the explanation, this is supposed to be a several step procedure to maintain the smallest incision possible while removing all of the cancerous tissue. Well, this is not what he does at all. He just draws a big circle around the lesion and cuts the entire area out, including a considerable skin margin around the lesion that leaves a huge hole in your face that won't heal up and leaves a huge scar. He only does one removal of a very large piece of tissue, in my case the size of a quarter, without doing the systematic progression called for in the Mohs surgery. My facial scar was very large.

Dr. Bigler is the man. He has seen me from 20 feet away and made an accurate diagnosis. The staff is extremely friendly and Dr. Bigler is HIGHLY knowledgeable. Wouldn’t recommend any other office for dermatology needs.

I had 2 basal cell spots basically touching each other. Dr. Bigler wanted to remove one on one day and the other, the next day. And then suture it up the afternoon of the second day. There was no way to remove one spot without removing the other so all I felt, he was trying to do, was to get reimbursed for an unnecessary procedure. Went to another doctor who was able to do both lesions in one visit.

Dr. Bigler and his staff are very caring with their patients!!They explain everything thoughly and answer any questions you may have. Your concerns and feelings are listened to. I highly recommend Dr. Bigler as a dermatologist!!!

Not impressed at all. I had small cyst removed from my arm and I have a 2 inch scar. Won't make that mistake again.

Every member of our family has seen Dr. Bigler for one thing or another through the years, and he is EXCELLENT. Such a fine person, and an outstanding doctor. He has always known just the right thing to do for whatever we have seen him for. One of the absolute consistently best doctors my family has seen over the years. We are grateful for the excellent care we have received, and I wish all doctors were as kind, caring and as competent as Dr. Bigler.

Very good communication skills and able to answer all questions easily. Will heartily recommend to friends and family.

Absolutly no concern about patent once you walk out his door. Call twice in distress and got no help what so ever please of you need a doctor theres got to be one who knows compassion this one doe not for get Gatway a vet could do better
