I had a great, positive experience with Dr Hampton. I had an infected ingrown toenail which had been bothering me for a while. Dr Hampton was very friendly when she entered the room. She was talkative which made me comfortable and relaxed me. She explained everything to me about ingrown toenails and the minor surgery on my toe and was very thorough. I finally have relief and am thankful. I would see her again! On the sportsmed site it clearly states what her specialties are, so keep that in mind if you have an issue so you can see if she matches your needs! Front staff was great also!

Dr. Hampton gave me the run around and did not take my foot pain seriously at all. She kept trying to pacify me with steroid shots, buying/wearing a boot (that did more harm than good), and suggested water aerobics as a last resort when nothing else worked. When I asked about surgical options (since I’ve dealt with this pain for 10+ years and had tried everything other than water aerobics, including massage, laser therapy, chiropractic, orthotics, etc.), she got SUPER defensive and told me no one in North Alabama would do it, I didn’t need it, and I could die from it (...? Yeah..biased much?). I understand not wanting to rush into surgery as a first choice, but after everything I had tried, to still not even entertain the idea, it blew my mind and honestly had me questioning myself. And even if she didn’t feel comfortable performing the surgery herself, she could have referred me to someone else in SportsMed who is. Finally, I got fed up and went to TOC. After the 1st visit (which was much more comprehensive), I was immediately recommended for surgery (in Huntsville, imagine that). After surgery, I was told it was the worst case the doc had seen and they cannot believe nothing had been done sooner. I finally felt validated after being treated like my pain wasn’t “that bad”. I’ve had a 5 week recovery from surgery on the first foot and can already tell a HUGE difference, and have plans to get the other one done next month. And then, after 10+ years, I’ll finally get my life back! No thanks to Dr. Hampton.

Would not recommend at all. Her bedside manner is terrible and I'm very laid back about things so it takes quite a bit for me to say that. She asked where the pain was, when it started, and for how long--all normal questions but then barely let me get an answer out and completely steam rolled me. She made a quick decision based on the x-ray and was walking out LITERALLY no more than 60 seconds later. Totally get that she's busy and so glad she's fast, but I had 2 questions about her recommendation and actually had to stand up and interrupt her as she walked out the door to get an answer. Professional but complete lack of care. This was my second time seeing her for the same issue a few years later. Same experience the first time so I definitely should have taken the time to find a different foot doctor.

Dr. Hampton seemed to be moody and in a hurry. She half answered my questions and walked out on me and shut the door while I was in the middle of a question. I wont ever use her again.

I've had two procedures with Dr. Hampton for cyst removal from my foot. Both times went extremely well. She is extremely prompt (very rarely have to wait long for appt), and she is very thorough on her diagnosis and options. I had some additional complications come up during one of my post-surgery follow-ups, and even though it was not related to her work, she promptly got me set up with another specialist who could assist me. She's definately one of the best!

Office and staff were clean and friendly. Very comfortable environment. Dr. Hampton was very attentive to my explanation of the problems I was experiencing. She diagnosed and treated the some day. Will definitedefinite use her for my podiatrist.
