List of Katarina Allman's Reviews
Dr. Allman is great. She is caring, understanding and friendly. The problem is getting to her. I couldn't tell you how many times I have been put on hold for extended periods of time of just got no answer at all. I also have had trouble with getting lab orders sent to the particular lab that I prefer to use because it is more convenient to me.
I've had issues with the staff in the past, but not lately. Dr. Allman is very thorough and takes her time talking to me about my issues or my test results. I can't say anything bad about the office after my last visit.
Dr. Allman is fantastic. Very caring, she is very thorough, and she follows up with her patients. She had some office issues, with help. So has several other Dr's in the area. For a general family Doctor, she is outstanding. Overall her office works very well, and she accepts TRICARE.
All of the reviews about the staff are accurate. Front desk staff are rude and constantly on their cell phones even when you are standing at the window waiting to check in or out. Getting refills on prescriptions takes several phone calls and over a week of daily promises it has been sent to the pharmacy.
I agree with all the previous comments regarding the staff. Yes, they're generally unfriendly. The turnover is constant and thus chaos rules everything. I doubt any of them truly knows what's going on. The nurses I've dealt with in the past 2 or 3 years rush through their work in the most flippant and careless way. I like Dr Allman. She's respectful, caring and takes her time, especially with explaining my yearly bloodwork results, but it's obvious that she has difficult interpersonal relationships with her whole staff! They all act as though they'd rather be anyplace else. (Additionally, the "pelvic exam" I received from her newest NP two weeks ago was brutal: rushed, very painful and left me with residual pain for days. I know that NP will move on to another job soon and I hope will be more caring). I'm going to have to seek a new general practitioner. Dr Allman must improve her staff morale in order to keep her clientele. We aren't stupid.
I have never left a review for a Dr. before - but my experience here with fiancé just can't be overlooked. Briefly: HORRIBLE service from her staff, and Dr. Allman is just kind of aloof and seems to be mostly just a referral doctor. She didn't actually do anything but review the notes and refer us to specialists.Could have gone to Urgent Care for that....Detailed: Fiancé has been a patient of Dr. Allman's for over 10 years. However, for the last 3 months we have tried to make an appointment for blood pressure and bleeding issues. Yet her staff continued to tell us that we had to come up to the office to get new paperwork, take it home, fill it out, then bring it back... at which point THEY would call us to make an appointment?Well - suddenly after four attempts in 3 months to get in to see the doctor, each foiled by some layer of bureaucracy, I called after we ended up in the EMERGENCY ROOM for a follow up and all the paperwork and other hurdles to get in weren't necessary...Wait, what?? So we need to fill out paperwork and do a dance with one foot in and one foot out if we're coming in for a sick visit, but if it's a hospital follow up you can literally get me in the next day and we just walk in with no prior steps? What gives guys? Either you have a process or you don't - and why do I have to come up 3 different times to get blood work?Copay milking much?
Would get zero stars if I could. I finally switched from this doctor after missing several appointments because the proper referral paper wasn’t sent, scheduling appointments while I was working without telling me, telling me 10 minutes before my physical and bloodwork that I can’t get bloodwork done at all and needed to reschedule the appointment itself as well. Dr. Allman herself seemed oblivious to their negligence, asking me why I never saw the pulmonologist that she recommended I see two years prior that they never referred me to. Showed up to a back appointment with a six week waiting period and was turned away because her staff refused to send the second referral. Had a surgery done under a different doctor’s name because they wouldn’t send the referral. Paid $300 at American Family Care because they wouldn’t send the referral. Paid $250 for a psychiatrist I’d been seeing for 2 years because they refused to send the referral. I’ve never seen such negligence and such rude, entitled office workers. I tell everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague.
Dr Allman is a good doctor. Unfortunately the previous comments about her staff is true. I tried to ignore the comments but the staff is horrible. Had 11:00 Appt. Arrived before 11. By 12, no one informed me of the delay. When I inquired the staff was rude. They do not want you to ask questions. I feel so sad for Dr Allman because she is a good doctor who is not aware of the ignorance of her staff. If Dr. Allman was not a good doctor, I would go somewhere else. I had an appointment last week with a specialist, the staff member was considerate enough to inform me there would be a “ 15 min” delay. How refreshing!
The office staff are rude and uncaring. Dr. Allman provides decent health care, but appears to have a lack of capability to surround herself with competent staff. They are almost impossible to reach and when you do, don't call in prescriptions when needed. The last straw was when I showed up for an appointment 15 minutes late, they said I would have to reschedule and pay a missed appointment fee. There are too many doctors out there that are capable of hiring decent staff. Adios.
Staff is rude and nonresponsive. They've obviously never had to call their own office to try and get anything they need. The staff is more interested in policy than customer service. The last straw was when they refused service to me when I was 15 minutes late for my appointment. They said I could reschedule, but would have to pay a missed appointment fee. No thanks, I'll go somewhere else. Adios.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
